Once the meeting with the CO had been wrapped up, they were well aware that another evaluation remained. Of course, the physical could wait until they had overlooked the staff of the Sickbay and determined exactly what was going on within it. Thus, they left them the psychological evaluation. Most people resented this, as if it were some kind of voodoo or black magic, which the Counselor used to manipulate and control each of the people they come across. However, Obiah saw it as something quite curious. They were always inquisitive to the people around them, making them quite the people watcher, at times.Running their hand along the back of the opposing, they pulled down the sleeve of the uniform, as if subconsciously trying to hide the tattoos that were placed on their bicep, far from the sleeve. It was an odd habit, but something they still did. One might consider it to be an act of nervousness or anxiety, which it could have easily been, but they considered it to be something that was almost calming, sort of like people rubbing the inside of their wrist or tapping their fingers against their arm or leg. It was simply one of those small habits that everyone had. Other people bounced their leg, Obiah tugged on their sleeve.
Pausing before Sinclair’s Office, they made certain they were in the correct spot, before tapping the chime, notifying Sinclair of their arrival.

CMOThe door slid open to reveal the office inside. It was comfortable, with a desk in one corner and then a seating area opposite. A single chair faced away from the desk towards two other chairs and a long couch surrounding a short table on which sat a small bowl filled with multicolored stones. A low bookcase lined one wall, but sat mostly empty save for a few textbooks and such. The room was not lit as brightly or harshly as the hallway outside, but instead had a warm and welcoming lighting scheme.
Seated at the desk was a human man who looked up, smiled , and stood up. He was quite tall, broad shouldered, and well muscled. His hair was cut short, and he held himself in a manner that would seem more… rigid… than normal for a Counselor. But his smile was genuine, and when he spoke his Scottish brogue lent a friendliness and warmth to his words.
“You must be Lieutenant Torris. I’m Lieutenant Commander Sinclair. Very pleased to meet you. Welcome to the Challenger.” and he held out his hand to them. “Would you care for something to drink. I was about to get a cup of tea, myself.” he asked.
Sinclair, CNS
Torrirs shook his hand, offering a firm shake, which wasn’t hard due to her debatably abnormal height. “Thank you, Counselor.” Obiah nodded to him, hardly minding his rigid nature. While it was common for majority of psychological associates to be calm, collected and annoyingly sweet, they found his stone demeanor to be somewhat refreshing, in the light of normality for creature who operated on the same level, as did he. “Certainly, any tea would do just fine.”
Stepping out of the way, so the counselor had the ability to navigate the room, they allowed their gaze to wander about its interior. They couldn’t say they were surprised to find such a.. warm scheme of decoration, lighting and colour. To them, it was not nearly as welcoming as it might have been to a human, or anyone else. Then again, they was raised in a much different setting, and was used to different scenery, than what most officers, who were on majority human, had.
“Do the stones have any significance to you, Counselor?” They inquired, noticing the stones which varied in an array of colours. Of course, their tone was friendly and merely dusted with the tone of inquisitiveness rather than any judgemental nature.

CMOSinclair looked over his shoulder and smiled. “Why, yes. They do.” he said as he returned to the seating area with two cups of black tea. “They take the recycled nature of the air out, making it smell less sterile.” and he motioned for them to take a seat. “But other than that, no. I haven’t been in this office long, so I am still in the process of moving in.” and he sat down. “And are you settling in yet, Doctor?”
Sinclair, CNS
“Oh, I see. I suppose that would be a calming mechanism, to remove the permeating scent of sterilization.” Obiah nodded, taking a seat across from his at the desk, where they placed their left leg over their right, their hands upon their knee. “How long have you been here, Counselor?” The Doctor inquired, tilting their head minutely to one side. “I suppose so, yes.” A shrug came of their slim, uniform-clad shoulders.

Sinclair chuckled at the question. “Well, I’ve been on board for a little over a year. This was my Cadet Cruise vessel, and when I graduated I was made Security Chief. I was in that role until about a month ago, when I was made Ship’s Counselor. It’s been a very interesting year, to be sure. How about you? Where were you before this?”
