(OCC: Hey first post back after a long time! Restarting as a player and hopefuly I can jump in correctly.)

~ Pre-Sim ~

A Starfleet uniform was more then a piece of material, it was a ticket. A ticket to explore, learn and help wherever he could in the galaxy. Jethro knew this was only a training ship but he couldn’t help but teem with excitement at the people he was going to meet. The wonders of the galaxy he was going to see and study. And of course he couldn’t help but anticipate the possible action they might encounter.

He looked up to the roof of the bay with a proud smile.

Almost there Mom. Now let’s see what this ship has in store for me.

Jethro’s focus returned to the present as he headed towards the shuttle bay doors and into the hallway of the deck.

He took a step off the main through-way and activated his com badge.

=^= Cadet Jethro Avant to Chief Medical Officer Lieutenant Rox. This is your new doctor, I have arrived on board the Challenger. I was wondering if you were free for a Department Head and Medical Check-in meeting? =^=

=/\=Of course Cadet. Report to sickbay at your earliest availability. Rox out.=/\= Sitting in her office she grinned slightly. She remembered those days of being so formal, so precise, so crisp. It was refreshing and nostalgic. It made everyone seem just a little more connected in her heart. She pulled up the information on her newest cadet and reviewed it until he arrived.

Jethro smiled when he heard the Chief Medical Officer’s reply come over the comm way.

=/\= Understood Ma’am, I’ll find my bunk and make my way over sick bay with in the half-hour. Looking forward to the check-in, Cadet Avant out. =/\=

The excitement was hard to miss in Jethro’s voice as he signed-off. After fixing with the shoulder bag on his Starfleet issue duffle bag. Jethro headed off to the lower deck quarters to find his bunk and drop his stuff off. The soft rush of adrenaline pulsed in his blood and excited every nerve at the anticipation of meeting the USS Challenger. It had been a long winding road for him to reach this point. Now he was just a few months away from being an official Starfleet officer.

He found his bunk and just threw his belongs gently on the standard issue bed compartment. Only grabbing one thing from his duffle as he moved quickly…the experimental medical tricorder that he had been working. The cadet was eager to show Dr. Rox what he had been working on and get her thoughts.

Within 17 minutes of his communicae, Jethro walked into sick bay. He paused a bit in the entrance to take in the layout, sounds and smell of the starships’s main medical center. Its smelled and felt familiar. Like coming home. Jethro quickly located Lieutenant Rox’s office and made his way over. Pressing the chime on the doorway as curtousy. “Cadet Erik Jethro Avant reporting for duty, Ma’am.” He stood at attention with arms folded behind his back.
