Sorazo thought that walking around and getting a feel of the ship and its crew was very important, not only to know where his patients come from, but to understand why they come. He was near Security but not in it as he is not cleared to go past the main offices but he decided to stop and sit at a bench by a tree and just take in all that he could. Unpacking his lunch and pouring himself some coffee he at by the tree watching the world go by.

After an hour Dar packs up his things and walks over to the Engineering Department and sits on a bench outside of it watching the comings and goings. Unpacking a snack, he munched on it while relaxing and checking on people.

Aaron walked out Engineering having finished his chat with Ang. As he stepped out, he noticed Dar sitting on a bench, munching on a snack, just watching the comings and goings of people.

Nodding to a few people walking by, he walked over towards Dar.

“Counselor. How are you doing today?”

Dar did not expect the Captain to show up and quickly put the snack down and brushed some crumbs off his uniform and stood up to attention. “A pleasure to meet you sir. I am watching and learning how the crew interacts in different parts of the ship. And I am fine today and yourself sir?”

“Please, sit down, I didn’t mean to interrupt your meal,” Aaron said as he walked over and sat down on the bench next to Dar. “And I’m doing rather well. Decided I needed an escape from the endless amounts of paperwork, and figured I’d check in with the different departments to see how things were going. It also doesn’t hurt to have the crew see their Captain out walking about every now and then.

“Learn anything fascinating so far?”

“A wise Captain you are.” He said as he sat back down. “That is why I am mainly out here today. I had no appointments and decided to look around. I brought my lunch and I have a few extra cookies if you would like some Sir? I have found out two things so far. The ship is massive and busy and noisy and that it is a well oiled machine as they say. You have a tremendous crew here. The second thing is that I believe NE Williams has a rash on his left butt cheek, since he keeps scratching it. But that is none of my business. How has your tour been so far?”

“That might be worth mentioning to the doctor, can’t have Mr. Williams distracted on the job,” Aaron said with a laugh.

“So far it’s been very good. I’ve been trying to break the ship into sections as it is very big. I don’t need to know the ship like the back of my hand, but I feel like as the Captain, I should at least have some knowledge of where things are. As for the crew,” Aaron paused as he looked around at the people passing by.

“They are quite the crew. It definitely takes a different type of person to join a ship that is going to be loaded with cadets. Not everyone is cut out to help mentor our newest members of Starfleet, to help them grow and learn. But we’ve been very lucky in who we’ve managed to get on the ship. I think they take pride in being here to help out these cadets. I hope you have found your time here on the Challenger just as fulfilling so far.”
