Sally walked into sickbay and looked around for the first available medical officer she could find. She had just boarded the ship and needed to get her check-ins completed before she could begin her duties. Walking up to the main desk she waited for someone to approach her.

Lt. Sally Luck medical officer

Seated at a console catching up on his patient notes, Alex heard rather than saw the door to sickbay ‘woosh’ open.

Unable to see the newcomer from behind the partition where he was seated, Alex adopted his best ‘relaxed Doctor here to help’ pose and pushed off with his feet against the console, sending his wheeled chair backwards and propelling himself into the newcomers eyeline, the effect only marginally spoiled by the one of his chair wheels developing a slight squeak.

“Hello there,” he said, in a friendly tone, matching this to a smile.

“How can I help you today? Miss……?”

“Sally,” she shook his hand. “Sally Luck and I am just lucky to be checking in with Dr.” she let her voice trail off. “I am new here on the ship. I just transferred. Would you be free to do my check in?”

OOC: Good to know! Makes the check up easier! -Dave

OOC: FYI for the record you are doing phenomenal as a cadet and learning the site but remember to add the IC when you start your text so we know where the story picks back up. So it would be :

IC:
“Absolutely!” Said Alex, standing up......

“Absolutely!” Said Alex, standing up to shake the offered hand gently but adding just a touch of pressure before he released the grip.

“Let’s get you up on the bed and have a look at you,” he said with a smile, indicating the biobed nearest the front desk with a wave of his hand.

Sally walked over to the bed and sat down. She was slightly nervous but it was only the nerves of joining a new ship and meeting new people. She had left her last posting healthy so there was no reason she should not be fit as a fiddle now.
