Anders grinned, “I appreciate the confidence boost Cadet,” turning to the CMO he said, “Doc, if you wish, I can have my men bring the Tribbles they find throughout the ship to Sickbay so you can perform more tests?”

IC: While everybody was making suggestions, Aaron looked closer at the data that the biobed had recorded. Wait a minute, he thought. Those molecules aren’t natural. They are made and used for cosmetic industries !

He then walked to sickbay’s computer and order him to list all the chemical solutions aboard the ship that will contain the molecules recorded by the biobed. After a moment, the screen showed him what he searched. And the Tribbles had eaten some hair from the Lieutenant. I need to be sure.

Aaron turned his head to Lieutenant Kyle: “Lieutenant, by any chance, did you put something in your hair this morning? Like some lotion or shampoo ?”

OOC: Kieron is making his way to his next ship with that character, so I’ll just play him out here to wrap things up. :)

The Chief of Security thought for a moment and then nodded, relaying that he had used his regular shampoo and that they could certainly find the ingredients from the replicator log.

Miya maintained the isolation screen around the biobed, just in case whatever killed the tribble was hazardous to the Challenger’s personnel, then made her way to Aaron’s side. “D’you think you’ve found something?”

Aaron turned to Miya: “Well if those records are correct, and since the Tribble that died was eating some of the Lieutenant’s hairs, then I think that it was his shampoo that killed the Tribble. Which sounds quite unexpected, I know.” Looking at the dead Tribble, he was wondering what molecule, in particular, killed the fluffy alien.

The further results of the scans popped up that the substance dihydrogen oxide was the source of the problem. Noting it for future reference to send to Starfleet Medical was likely a good plan (or not, because the not GM just made this joke up to see who is paying attention).

Miya’s eyes widened as she read the detailed information on the screen, tears rolling down her cheeks as the full import of the news became clear. Dihydrogen oxide! she thought. Now I’ll never get the chance to try the XO’s hot tub if it’s filled with that terrible stuff!
