Named after the celestial home of the ancient Norse Earth gods, the VALHALLA class runabout can be used regularly as a high-speed personnel carrier. It is modeled after the Darwin class starships modular design, with modular components for multi-purpose missions capabilities. Curently designed modules include medical, scientific, security, cargo, and engineering.

SHIELDS: Two 15 MW graviton polarity power sources feeding one 215 millicochrane subspace field distortion amplifier; field frequency recycles every .5 picoseconds
SENSORS: 4.0 light years in high resolution; 16.0 in low-medium resolution; map 1 adjacent sector in two days
Structure and Construction
The Valhalla’s nacelles are attached by struts and extend outward slightly from the lower base. They have been moved slightly forward from the Danube design, and the impulse engines are at the lower rear, balancing the ship.
All of the mission modules contain specialized computer cores/processors specific to their task. These cores are installed in the rear of the vessel substructure. These will replace the Danube Class conference room.
MISSION MODULES:
- Medical: Outfitted for medical use, a VALHALLA can hold 6 biobeds and 3 doctors. Medical supplies carried on board include standard medical fare to eqipment for major surgeries. Computer core added to monitor patients; contains up-to-date medical library.
- Scientific: Sensor enhancements boost range and efficiency by 25%; instrument packages and extra-vehicular activity suits specific to mission; micro torpedo launcher for probes, class 1-S; 3 on-board modified class 3 probes can be dropped from external bay door; 10 scientists.
- Security prisoner transport: same basic module as standard except: outfitted with locator computers keyed in to prisoners id bracelets. Any quick movements result in a small electrical shock or automated hypospray, depending upon prisoner location, 10 prisoners, 5 officers
- Security escort: shields boosted 15%, 2 phaser emitters added, bringing total to 4 emitters; if EXTREMELY neccessary, can be equipped with a torpedo launcher: this will add 2 metric tonnes to the mass, as an extra bay must be attached to the bottom of the ship to house launcher and torpedoes, 5 torpedo ordinance; option - 2 micro torpedo launchers, one fore one aft, 20 rounds of munition.
- Cargo: maximum load capacity of 5 metric tonnes; two flight crew and one cargo manager; small computer core to monitor movement, loading/offloading, and content of cargo
- Engineering/Repair: Polymer welding tools attached to phaser emitters: focus the energy to a pinpoint for welding or cutting; equipped with external grapple swing arms; 5 engineers with EVA suits for each and two extra; modified torpedo casing tool sleds: the magnetic fields used to contain the anti-matter are contolled by an LCARS model computer to move tools on the sled and pass to the engineer.
Other modules are to be designed.
