Edict #4:
Effective 01042.1 (21 April 2001), the Titania Class USS Titania, NCC-71864, Fleet 5, will be recommissioned as the Discovery Class USS Endeavour, NCC-76801, Fleet 5.
Note 1: This move is necessary as the Titania Designer has effectively resigned from Star-Fleet and has requested I take Titania out of service.
Note 2: The Endeavour is typoed (I presume) as Endeavor in the approved class spec. Given the traditional spelling of the name, I would recommend the Discovery designers/maintainers update the spec to reflect the commissioned name of the ship. (Which I’ve alreadly talked to Mack about, so I don’t expect this to be a major issue.)
Note 3: It is known that there is a conflict in names in EDept (for those aware that Discovery and Endeavour are used by both Discovery and Columbus classes). As ED approved both, I’ll let ED hammer out naming conflicts too, as long as I get my Endeavour. <grin>
Note 4: The actual IC/RP ship change date may be delayed depending on the state of the Titania sim. That will not affect the OOC ship change date.
Note 5: There is no note 5.
