The MOO bylaw (Member Order and Organization) is amended by removing the following sentence from Club Rank and Structure:
No Member shall have a character with a character rank higher than the Member’s club rank.
and replacing it with the following sentence (the bold markup has been added to show the change; the amendment can be reproduced in the bylaw without the markup):
In the case of a character rank of Captain or higher, no Member shall have a character with a character rank higher than the Member’s club rank.
(For record-keeping purposes, this amendment is to ensure the sentence can be read consistently with other language in the MOO bylaw, which defines a member rank, for the rank below Captain, as the highest role-playing rank the member has achieved in STF. In other words, a member with a member rank below Captain can only increase their rank (still below Captain) if they get a character with a higher rank. If members below Captain are not allowed to be given such role-playing ranks, they can never increase their member rank based on a strict reading of the old wording.)
