It has always been my belief that we need to take the opportunities to recognize people when it is deserved. And when they go above and beyond what is expected of them, I feel that the recognition should be equally as appropriate.
Since joining STF, Ben Simons has stood out to me. I had the pleasure of being the XO on the Challenger when he arrived. And he has only thrived since then. As XO on the Ark Angel he has demonstrated his ability to handle the administrative tasks, and engage with the crew. Making him an invaluable player on the AA.
During this past term, Ben has been hard at work in the Engineering Department, serving as the Dockmaster. Having compiled the Dockmaster’s Log, which Nick Villarreal said is “a great contribution to the department, and, as far as I am concerned, a good addition to the club as a whole.”
Therefore it’s my pleasure to promote Ben Simons to the rank of Captain, with all the rights, privilages and responsibilities that go with the rank.
