It is customary to promote a member to the rank of Fleet Captain if they have performed well in a top-level cabinet role for one entire term. Although not explicitly stated, it is understood to be “a mark of commitment or contribution to the club above and beyond the usual requirements.” While selecting people for the cabinet this term, I noticed that there is someone who has actually served twice as the Gamemaster Director, and by all accounts did a good job at it, but is still at the member rank of Captain.
Therefore, I hereby promote Sam Pennington to the rank of Fleet Captain, with all rights, privileges, and responsibilities therein.
