“What the hell is on Joey’s head?”
It shocked me when I found out that this person is only a Captain, but after thinking about it, I realized why. This is a guy who tends to work in the background, and he’s very quiet about that work. However, not only has he been in the club longer than people like myself and Jack, he’s served consistently in the role of Gamemaster Director or Fleet Commander, Fleet 5, since the first Hemenway administration (with a break during Andy’s administration). That’s four years! I don’t even know how many times he’s held an assistant position somewhere. He has been an excellent CO, a mentor in the Academy, and a friend to many people.
Geoff Joosten is hereby promoted to the rank of Fleet Captain, with all the rights and privileges therein. And there actually are some rights that come with this rank now! Congratulations Geoff!
