After careful review of SCSI and MIRAGE, and a command discussion, it has been decided that MIRAGE is no longer to be considered a Bylaw, and will be remanded to the Internet Department as department policy. All of the original reasons that MIRAGE was posted as an edict are no longer relevant, and the only compelling reason given for keeping it as a Bylaw was that some departments don’t track their policies well. However, the Internet Department does have a policies section that is updated, and I have been assured that they intend to keep MIRAGE as policy. Through SCSI they have the power to enforce it, and anyone who willfully disregards their attempts to enforce it will be subject to the appropriate sanctions.
