There isn’t much I can say about Jack Dipper that you all don’t already know. He has been a solid role player in this club for the past three years. He’s carried the Academy through some of the most fruitful and productive times we’ve seen recently. He did a stint as President and survived, and now he’s about to do another as Veep! Though this doesn’t bode well for his sanity, we all know him as a hard worker, whether it’s working on a discussion, an edict, role-playing on a ship, or his university work. Further to his merit, Jack is a true gentleman who keeps a stiff upper lip in public. Though he and I have disagreed on more than one occasion, he has helped teach me that you can disagree in Star Fleet but be friends in real life. I consider myself honored to be among Jack’s friends, and Star Fleet has certainly benefited from his continued membership and service.
I hereby promote Jack Dipper to the rank of Fleet Captain, with all the rights and privileges that entails.
Congratulations Jack! Here, have a cup of tea. <G>
