Return of the Engineers
Edict Dugan #24 is hereby rescinded and superceded by this Edict.
Effective immediately, the Starfleet Engineering Fleet is hereby decommissioned. The Research and Development Department shall be transferred back to the Command fleet, and shall be renamed the Engineering Department. The Research and Development Director shall henceforth be known as the Engineering Director, and the Assistant Research and Development Director shall be called the Assistant Engineering Director. Specific responsibilities and duties of this department will be outlined in the following edict.
Note: In Edict #15 I stated “The USS Nautilus has a long history, since she was the first ship on the WeBB that did not serve on Prodigy.” I have since been informed that this is inaccurate, and would like to set the record straight. The USS Nautilus was the first fleet 2 ship to be commissioned on the WeBB without having served on Prodigy, not the first ship of the club.
