As the Cabinet members know, I sent out an e-mail about two months ago, asking for recommendations for end of term commendations and promotions. The following is an excerpt from a recommendation that I received (yes, I have permission to post this :P):
“I feel that he’s been a great servant to the club this term as Academy Commandant. Plus, he’s had to deal with the mad PDir for the past few months which he has done in a nice and pleasant manner. In all the dealings I have had with the ‘Bear’, and in the dealings he has had with others, he has always been polite, respectful and firm. On a personal level, Brian has been a great teacher for me in my role of CO of the Draco.”
I tried, but I just couldn?t find a better way to sum up Brian Olinski?s contributions to the club than what Russ has to say here. Brian is a wonderful role-player whose posts always have me on edge of my seat to see where they?re going next. He has provided support and guidance to countless new members in his roles as XO, CO, Academy ship CO, and Academy Commandant.
It?s my pleasure to promote Brian Olinski to the rank of Fleet Captain.
