Pursuant to the authority vested in the Office of the President, the following directive is hereby issued and takes effect immediately. Following the decision of Richard A. to step down as Commanding Officer of the USS Chernov, I, in consultation with the Fleet Council Chairman, do hereby appoint Patrick McGarry as the Commanding Officer of the USS Chernov, effective immediately.
Before recognizing this new appointment, I wish to express my sincere gratitude to Richard A. for his phenomenal tenure as Commanding Officer of the USS Chernov. Through his dedication, creativity, and unwavering commitment, he has built the Chernov into one of Star-Fleet’s strongest and most active commands. The quality of the ship today is a direct reflection of the countless hours he devoted to managing engaging missions alongside the Gamemaster and crew, mentoring players, and fostering an environment where the crew could thrive.
His leadership has left an enduring legacy, and the Office of the President, the Fleet Council, and Star-Fleet as a whole thank him for his outstanding service. While stepping away from the center seat, the impact of his work aboard the Chernov will continue to be felt for years to come.
As Patrick McGarry assumes command, he does so with the support and confidence of Star-Fleet’s leadership. While this is Patrick’s first appointment as a Commanding Officer within the club, he has consistently demonstrated the enthusiasm, dedication, and willingness to learn that are the hallmarks of an exceptional leader. He has shown that he possesses the drive, professionalism, and skills necessary to lead a command successfully.
No commanding officer succeeds alone, and Patrick will have the full support of the Office of the President, the Fleet Council, and his fellow commanding officers as he grows into this role. With that support, I am confident he will continue the proud traditions established aboard the USS Chernov while making the command his own.
On behalf of the Office of the President and the Fleet Council, I congratulate Patrick McGarry on his appointment and wish him every success as he takes the center seat of the USS Chernov.
I also ask the officers and crew of the USS Chernov to extend Patrick their full support as he begins this exciting new chapter in the ship’s history.
