Pursuant to the authority vested in the Office of the President, the following directive is hereby issued and takes effect immediately. James Sinclair is relieved of his duties as Commanding Officer of the USS Manhattan and Governor of OED V.
This decision has not been made lightly. The Office of the President recognizes and sincerely appreciates Mr. Sinclair’s dedication, service, and the time he devoted to administering both the USS Manhattan and OED V. His efforts on behalf of Star-Fleet have been valued and are acknowledged with gratitude.
Unfortunately, due to a series of circumstances beyond his direct control, it has become necessary to make this change in order to ensure the continued operation and stability of both commands. Prior to this decision, every reasonable effort was made to establish communication and resolve the outstanding issues. The Fleet Council Chairman, in conjunction with the Technical Department, made repeated attempts to reach Mr. Sinclair and assist in resolving the situation. Regrettably, those efforts were ultimately unsuccessful, leaving no viable alternative but to proceed with this action.
The Office of the President extends its sincere thanks to James Sinclair for his past service and wishes him the very best in his future endeavors. Should circumstances permit in the future, we would welcome the opportunity to see him return to active participation within Star-Fleet.
