“Gentlemen, your work today has been outstanding, and I intend to recommend you all for promotion… in whatever fleet we end up serving.”
Over the past couple of terms, one member has repeatedly demonstrated their value to the club in countless ways. Publicly, they have supported the running of STF as an active Cabinet member within the Personnel Department and, more recently, as the Pioneer Fleet Commander. They have also shown forward-thinking leadership by developing and leading a discussion on the commendations and awards system. It will come as no surprise to many that I am referring to our Vice President, Amdirgol.
One of my priorities in the last couple of terms has been to ensure close concurrence between the President and Vice President on the executive decisions we make. What many may not have seen is the support Amdirgol has provided throughout this term - particularly as a trusted sounding board for some of the more challenging decisions we have faced. His support and counsel have been instrumental in ensuring that our actions have been taken with care, compassion, and due diligence.
Therefore, without further ado, I hereby promote Amdirgol S to the rank of Fleet Captain, with all the rights and privileges of that rank.
