“Change is the essential process of all existence.”
These types of edicts have never been easy, nor will they ever get any easier. I have always had a soft spot for the Asimov, having completed my GMT sim there over 20 years ago. I know there will be others who also have the fond memories of her; in particular her latest CO, Sage. I know decommissioning a ship is particularly hard on the Command Staff, and I want to highlight Sage’s courage in both recognising that the Asimov was in her last days, and suggesting her decommissioning.
Again, it is with regret that the USS Asimov is to be decommissioned with immediate effect. Having already notified the crew, Sage is requested to provide them the support if they wish to move their characters to other ships. The PDept is requested to support this as well. The ship’s posts are to be retained for posterity.
