Before I announced the new Commanding Officer of the Leviathan, I just wanted to highlight the calibre of candidates who expressed interest in the role. It was no easy task to choose from such a strong field, and I know the selection process was particularly challenging because of the talent and dedication each candidate brought forward.
I’m especially pleased that the individual selected was first recognised for their skill, experience, and enthusiasm for the role — and then encouraged to apply. It’s a timely reminder that sometimes, it’s the quietest among us who work the hardest behind the scenes, consistently demonstrating leadership without fanfare.
So, without further ado, and on the recommendation of the Pioneer Fleet Commander, I am delighted to announce that Richard A is promoted to the rank of Captain and appointed as the new Commanding Officer of the USS Leviathan.
