Ok, I lied! Impeach me!
There is one last promotion, that goes to someone who has always been an integral part of the fabric of STF. This individual has been a stalwart of the Club ever since he joined in the last millenium. In that time he has been: President (twice), Vice President (Four Times), Fleet Commander (9 times?!), Academy Commandant, Personnel Director (5 times), CO of an Academy ship (twice), and Election Coordinator (and twice as AEC).
What is interesting is that this individual seems to be assigned to these roles after someone has stood down, with most appointments mid-term. Most notable was his first rise to power as President. Deciding that the traditional way was not ‘fun’, he decided to foment unrest in the Executive Washroom, and position himself as the most suitable Vice President candidate, and was promptly installed as such. Within days, he was once again plotting, forcing the resignation of the President and taking the Executive Washroom for himself. To bury the evidence, he promptly banned the previous President and called Dyno-Rod to sort out the previously mentioned fomented unrest. (Or it might have been less scandalous as that, but recollections may vary!*).
On a more serious note, this individual’s presence has been felt across the club, whether he’s in an appointed role, or just being himself providing calm, collected advice to anyone who asks of it. I have welcomed his advice over the past term, and beyond, and I have no doubt that this club will continue to be positively influenced by his contribution.
I hereby promote Steve Johnson to the rank of Full Admiral, with all of the rights and privileges thereto.
