“Congratulations. What a wonderful choice, sir! You’ll be able to shape the minds of the future leaders of Starfleet.”
For those of you who may not have been tracking the discussion in the Academy Ship, the Academy Executive Officer Training Programme selection criteria have been finalised through an Academy Mandate. This is the conclusion of a significant amount of work by the Academy Commandant, Jennifer Ward, and the team that contributed to the discussions both in the Command Ship and the Academy Campus Boards.
To recognise this hard work, I would like to formally recognised the following:
** Commodore Jennifer Ward **. Jenn is awarded a Presidential Commendation for her excellent leadership in coordinating the discussion across the club, both in Command and in the Academy Campus Boards. The discussion took input from 15 members, and delivered a bylaw and mandate that received the endorsement from all involved. Because of Jenn’s hard work, there is now further development opportunity for those members aspiring to be the future leaders within STF.
** Academy Executive Officer Training Programme ‘Task Force’ **. In hindsight, this was an excellent example of what I was hoping to achieve through task forces, where we can get collective effort together to tackle some of the clubs challenges; but, at the same time, it’s great to see the club organically pull together around an issue. It was great to see the variety of opinions play into the discussion in a way where members were both collegiate and supportive of different viewpoints. I would like to formally thank those of you who made substantive contributions to the discussions:
