As a few folks know, if you’ve been anywhere near the Alliance, the Challenger or more recently the Personnel Department in the past week or so, that Peter Lyons has been attacking members verbally on the boards with the sole reasoning of attempting to start a good old flame war because they are .. fun, and then has a bit of a problem ceasing and desisting when asked to do so, whether this be over email or on the boards themselves, and then resorts to more personal attacks on people.
Not contented with being expelled from the Alliance for his behaviour, he then took his attitude towards the Challenger, where he began an attack on the Alliance’s command staff, before it finally ended up in the Pdept, where he then offered to take it to the OOC area.
Peter had been instructed and warned that this kind of behaviour is not acceptable, and one would think that being expelled from a ship would have hammered that point home, but obviously not in this case.
I try to stay out of any disputes between members until it hits the boards, which is what has happened in this case. As such it also falls under the TOS :
‘Any conduct by you that in our sole discretion restricts or inhibits any other party from using or enjoying STF will not be permitted. You agree to use STF only for lawful purposes. You are prohibited from posting on or transmitting through STF any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, profane, hateful, fraudulent, racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable material of any kind, ....’
Being asked to stop attacking people, and then continuing, certainly hampers the enjoyability factor.
It also seems that Peter doesn’t take any of the warnings he has received thus far seriously enough, so therefore, there is only one other option left open.
I am hoping that some enforced time away from STF will allow him to think about what has happened and his behaviour towards other members.
It is with this in mind that I hereby ban Peter Lyons for a period of 45 days. Any further violation can incur harsher penalties.
