Okay as everyone saw just a short while ago James Speck had decided to resign his position as CO of the USS Athena. As everyone knows I feel it is better to give an XO a chance to prove that all their hardwork has been for something and promote them to the position of CO.
Kenson informed me that due to the fact that the Athena was the death term ship and with the condition it is in that an experienced CO is needed to take over the ship to try to bring it back to it’s former glory once again proving it deserves to be the flag ship of the fleet.
Kenson came to me with two very strong candidates. One of whom was highly recommended by his AFComm and the other whom he himself had highly recommended. Both of these candidates were former CO’s and both of them I have talked to on numerous occasions outside of the club.
This decision was not an easy one to make but make it I have. I hereby promote Claudette Drake to the position of CO of the USS Athena. Claudette already holds the rank of Captain and therefore needs no rank increase.
