Once some of the away team had left, the current Mayor of the colony, though still below the Council leaders was still present with the XO and those who had not yet choosen what to do to help the colony out. “..I must say I’m quite sorry for the actions of Sir Franklin, he is a bit.....well pardon my language but an asshole.” She said with a mild blush despite her age, “..but his family did found the original colonial effrots of our ships to a planet nearer to Earth before we got lost out here, and then when we were forced to settle here they gave a sense of order and because of their larger store of supplies allowed us to survive and thrive. I am sure by now you all have realized we have something of a....caste structure. It may be old fashioned perhaps in this day and age but before we knew others were out this far it provided the safety and order the colony needed..” she said leaving unsaid the ‘we had no other choice’ part.

Naana bit her lip. It was necessary in the running of a successful government or military organisation that there are people higher up who can make the final decisions but the notion that some people’s voices could be ignored because they were in some elite group did not sit well with her.

”..In either case I think your staff if they want to make any impressions on the colony for good will should find a way to help out as I said before like your others went to do. Anyone who isnt, or you Lieutenant Commander Glindorsh could come with me for a small tour I suppose of the colony primary areas if you want?” she asked.
