Ok so since things slowed down more then I wanted this past month or two I figured a recap of major info would be handy and bring everyone up to current events.

1) The Unity is visiting the Earth colony Freedom. Made up of colonists from pre-war times 30 years ago who got lost from their intended planet to this one. During the war the colony supplied high grade minerals and other things that made them a target during the Earth/Romulan war. Despite the best efforts of the Coalition they were defeated and the colony badly damaged by Reman invasion forces and nuclear and ship based bombing from orbit. Forced into this position the colony sued for a peace which surprisingly the Romulans accepted provided the colony cut all ties to the Coalition for the war. The colony as they Unity landing party found felt jaded by the Coalition’s failure to protect them and ‘use them’ during the war. They felt quite similar to the newly founded Federation. After delivering the cargo supplies Earth was giving freely the away team broke up into teams to help where they could.

2) The first team tackled the investigating the local water supply and farmland finding up in the hills one of the main sources of water for the colony had a stealth field of seemingly Romulan origin, concealing a water powered replication device that was trickle feeding in intervals some kind of non-lethal flu into the colony which made the colony’s younger children and late aged sick but they soon recovered no one thankfully had died, those of early-mid adult age though seemed unaffected. No sooner did they get this discovery then they were called to check in on team 3.

3) The second team tackled meeting with the colony’s council where they met a frosty reception but after some discussion eventually ended in a dead lock of a ‘wait and see’ approach. Despite the problems the colony in recent years had faced with the orions and nausican pirates being pushy they had not been attacked by them yet. Mr Franklin one of the colony’s more influential councilors and seemingly most disgruntled with the crew’s arrival had left with his supporters in a huff just as this team also got called to check in on team 3.

4) Finally team 3 had tackled repairing the local wild life protection systems to keep them out of the colony area, and repair the colony’s problematic long and short range comm and sensor arrays. There efforts found a seemingly romulan made stealth field with some kind of interference and monitoring device inside the comm/sensor housing, once removed they had barely began its study to confirm if it was Romulan or not when they were attacked by from the shadows by what seemed Reman ground troops, but as things looked bleak teams 1 and 2 showed up and the 3 together with their combined firepower forced the troops to get beamed away

5) Just after all this the teams were recalled to the ship urgently as the Unity’s captain and its sensors had picked up the approach of what seemed 6 Romulan cruisers at high warp coming into the system! The Unity is on their own as the nearest friendly help at high warp is almost 5 hours away!
