After a moment she added, “..All oppose?” she asked. This time Byron, and the other woman with him raised their hand, two to two in each camp, but then surprisingly and perhaps most frustrating to Byron as he glared, the remaining 5 members present spoke up one by one abstaining from voting, abstaining until they had a better read on what this Federation and the Unity could provide and they in exchange provide. “..It would seem for now this call of vote is dead locked, until such time as as clear majority better learns of our future with this Federation. Until then it is my continuing choice that the Unity and the Federation are for now welcome here, and their help if offered is still accepted..”

Byron rose with a ‘bah!’ followed by the other woman both leaving in a huff of annoyance. The rest quietly filed out too after a moment, the older man in support bowing to the group politely with a reply of. “..Until later then..” he said, nodding to Carolina who remained behind.

Another comm chirp echoed from the XO’s comm unit, then followed by another for the rest of the team

Myasnikov sighed and looked at the XO as the communicator chirped, then gave a startled look as his own did so as well. He opened the device and said =/\= Myasnikov to Unity. Go ahead. =/\=

=/\= This is Captain Barks, we just finished moving the targeted war hulks into stable orbits with orbital thrusters on them for extra insurance, but we just began to pick up odd energy readings that might be weapons fire near the sensor/comm arrays for the colony near the hills, Commander, I’ve already ordered Lt Astid and her team to check it out, worrying though is that some kind of interference is preventing deeper scans and comm links to those there. If you’re not into anything pressing you may want to meet up with the Lieutenant and check it out. =/\= He said.

After the XO’s reply he added, =/\= Any other updates I should be aware of? =/\= he then asked.

More trouble. =V= We will make our way there immediately Captain. The colonies council is still deciding whether or not they wish to remain it =v=

=/\= Understood, we’ll worry about the Council once we figure out whats going on with Snow and Lina, I’m taking the Unity to a cautious stance as a precaution, while we’ll keep shields down I’m going to charge our hull plating. Something about all this doesnt feel right. =/\= The captain replied, then signed off.

Carolina then spoke up after the call ended. “..Sounds like you should get moving. I got one of our still working hover cars outside for emergencies like this..” She said tossing a small control key to the XO, “..Feel free to use it, just try to bring it back in one piece..” she said.

No sooner had the pair left the building and were speeding down the rough road in the hover car when the their comm unit’s chirped, =/\= This is the Unity, to all away team personnel come in!=/\= he said.
