Kitty had finally gotten a brake between her fury’s as XO and her busy family she really found time to sit and enjoy anything anymore. Today she siting near one of the view ports with a side and a good book.

“Commander,” Bov’ar made her way over to the woman, when she caught sight of a familiar face. “I did not expect you to be out so late. Is everything all right?” She asked with natural concern for her partner.

CO

“ just enjoying some down time with out children fighting or wanting to play fifty questions. As much as I love them I need a break every now and then. How about you” Kitty asked with a smile.

“Ah, yes. I can understand where you are coming from,” She smiled. “When Ikra was younger, he was the same way; always wanting to play games until beyond his bedtime, asking questions about everything and anything, pestering about the simplest of things. I must say, however, you do begin to miss it, a bit, when it stops.”

“ I’m sure your right. Now that zero has returned though at lest we can switch off who is watching the kids when. “ kitty said with a smile. “ what are you doing up so late Captain.” She asked with a smile.

“Mm. That is a pretty nice thing, eh?” She smiled over at the woman who clearly cared for her children. Which, she completely understood the devotion to one’s offspring. “Me? Oh.. you know the general stresses. With Ikra ill, I’ve had to stay up with him. He’s in a pretty deep sleep now, so I figured I’d come get some coffee. Does that make me a bad mother, leaving him alone right now?” She asked, concerned. Kitty had been a mother longer than she had, and Bov’ar was trying to get the hang of it.

“Is what he has contagious? No your not a bad mother if you need a break and he’s not contagious I can look after him for a little bit. I know how hard it is to be a single parent” kitty said with concern. She understood the stress of a sick child she had had been though that plenty of times with her four children. It was necessary for parents to get a break from there children every now and then it helped keep them sane.

“He is not contagious. It is just a product of hos stomach issues, which he unfortunately got from me.” She chuckled, softly. Although, she did feel bad that her son had to suffer from the same gastrointestinal problems she had to, for a rather long time. A soft sigh escaped her lips, “You already have four munchkins to look after, I wouldn’t wish to add to your stress.”

“ I understand that feeling” Kitty giggled and shook her head” he could not possibly be that hard to manage. Besides I have not got to do anything with medical in some time it would be a welcome change of routine.” Kitty said with a smile. Kitty loved children she also loved mediation. She did not know why she had give up CMO of XO. There were many days that she wished To go back to treat cases of the common cold.

Marco had entered the room a small bit ago to grab a little something to eat. He had noticed the CO and XO off towards one of the windows laughing about something. He hadn’t really met the XO yet and thought it would be good to say hi, but it was difficult for him to time a spot that would be good to interrupt them in their conversation. The conversation seemed to dial down a bit and he already had an order in for a simple turkey and swiss sandwich so he decided to just walk over with his glass of water.
“Good evening ladies.” He gave a small nod to the Captain, followed by the XO. “Pretty late in the evening from what I can tell.. something keeping you up?” The Colonel seemed like he was oddly awake for the current hour.
