Evening All,

Our very okay Katy Darrah has drafted up the following premise as a prospective Experimental Fleet ship. Therfore, I am placing it up here to allow members to discuss and help develop the premise and add any interest they may have in regards to this premise and its creation.

The USS Thurgood Marshall is a criminal pursuit ship. Designed to track and chase down all manner of criminals, from smugglers to those who have committed treason. Her staff is selected based off prior security, law enforcement, or investigations training and experience and not just any body can join the ranks of her crew.

The concept of a criminal pursuit ship had been going around Starfleet for decades, but it would often sit on an Admiral’s desk for a few years before getting tossed out. Then one actually read it. The concept would help cut down on not just the crimes that they COULD track, but also catch the perpetrators before they could strike again.

Thus the USS Thurgood Marshall was born: a revolutionary new idea to help the citizens of the Federation.
