Hey all,

so as you probably all know, when I first came up with the idea for the (former X-Fleet ship) Leviathan, I took inspiration not just from Star Trek but also from the show ‘Stranger Things’ and the internet concept ‘SCP’.

What other fandoms do you think could provide fun inspiration for an X-Fleet ship? You don’t have to have any plans to actually make these ships, I just thought it would be interesting to discuss and might start some people thinking…

I would throw it right away. What about a restaurant ship like environment? The captain to be the Master Chef and the subordinates kind of chefs and waiters. With the flavor of little of clients and random murders, the ship would be involved also in mystery resolution… to make it fun. Or what about a ship which only purpose isn’t only the normal verse but actually travels among the most remote and weird dimension, a bit like Rick and Morty like? Dimensional agents, could we say it?
Perhaps we could also explore a bit more the time agency life. Travel back and forward catching Picard in the most absurd times and ways to solve history.
Those are my proposals!

I love these ideas! Having a restaurant, or anything ‘civilian’ would be really interesting. Like, I’ve always enjoyed playing on starbases because it gives you the chance to RP as a merchant and open a store or cafe or whatever. Plus I love anything to do with food, lol!

You know, we used to have a JAG ship at STF (the USS Resolution) whose sims were largely based around investigating and resolving mysteries. It was a really, really fun ship to be a part of!

I also love the multi-time/dimensional suggestions, it would definitely keep things fresh on the ship and keep the crew on their toes!
