While wandering the corridors since he was no longer on shift at that point in time , he was still rather dumbstruck at the events that had just occurred. He walked in and found a somewhat secluded spot at one of the booth/tables in the back of the legendary Atlantis Lounge. He sat down and breathed a sigh of relief leaning back in the padded corner booth he was in. “What a day ..” He said aloud, quietly, but to no one in particular. His hand almost subconsciously came up to his collar to feel the two new shiny golden Lieutenant pips on his collar still only expecting to feel the single Ensign pip he had become accustomed to. He usually wasn’t one to come to a place like this, but for this kind of occasion he felt like he could use a bit of a break from the ordinary.

The blue light and atmosphere of the lounge wasn’t all that bad to be honest. Not to mention since the lounge was still fairly new, not too many people found their way there, but it was steadily getting more and more people to it as the news traveled of the station being active again. He placed his arms up on the top sides of the booth actually looking relaxed for once since their arrival. He’ll probably have to order some of the good Scotch for this occasion. Hopefully there was still some left? He just waited patiently as he was in no rush, taking in the atmosphere.

Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)

“You look like you could use a drink,” The light sound of a feminine voice peirced the calm atmosphere of the lounge. If Yuri were to turn, he would see a curvy woman, dressed in a knee-length dress, a glass in her hand as she cleaned it, contentedly, with a withered cloth. Her hair was a deep black, laying flat against her back and shoulders, adding an eerie light to her pale gaze. “But not in a way that seems to be for poor reasoning.” A smile creased her lips, a friendly twinkle dancing within her pale grey gaze. “Am I right and can get you a drink or wrong and should leave like this never happened?”

Nameless Woman
Bartender

Yuri turned his head to see the woman cleaning the glass. “Hmm ..? Well, drink always good to relax with. I could use one, yes. Scotch if I may.” Yuri paused for a moment. “The good kind of course.” He gave a slight grin as he straightened himself out as he sat, pulling his arms off the side of the backing of the booth. He looked at her for a moment, almost studying her. “I don’t … believe we have met before ..?” He couldn’t quite recall seeing her face before from everyone that’s come aboard, though not everyone checks into medical. There was something he couldn’t quite place about her was it the atmosphere? Something about her? He couldn’t figure it out.

Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)

“Of course,” She smiled, charmingly, making her way around the counter before she was situated behind it. Preparing him the desired drink, she placed it gently in front of him, her smile turning to a seemingly friendly smirk. “No, I don’t believe we have..” She noted his appearance, “Doctor.” She knew his name, and rank. However, that could have easily been her seeing him about the shipyard. “I am Cheniya Hobson,” She offered a tanned hand, to shake. “You are Ensign Yuri Balashov, correct?” She paused, “Or is it Lieutenant? News travels oddly about this place.. you never know what to trust.”

C. Hobson
Bartender

The tanned hand didn’t quite seem to match the pale gaze that he had seen earlier, perhaps it was just the lighting after all? He dismissed it for now and reached out to shake her hand as well. “A pleasure Ms. Hobson, but yes correct on both counts. As of few hours ago, Lieutenant now.” He grinned a bit. “Hence, relaxing and drink after long day.” He sat back a bit again looking around the lounge as the lights danced around. “Station is small place, not surprising word traveling so quickly. More people coming to station makes lively place as well.”

Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)

Her unnaturally grey eyes were the only indication of something being off, physically, about the young woman, who seemed to be just a year or two younger than Yuri, himself. Shaking his hand, her grip meager and simple, her smile was unwavering, before she pulled it away to pour herself a shot of whiskey. “Congratulations on your promotion, Lieutenant Balashov.” She grinned, “Is this drink a form of celebration?” She inquired, quirking a brow towards him. “Oh, I see.” She added, upon realizing. “This station is quite lively, and will only become more so, as time wears on. After all, time equals people.. and people, well.. they equal chaos and pleasure.”

C. Hobson
Bartender

He hadn’t quite thought much of the last part of her statement, but people could be quite chaotic and well.. He cleared his through to rid himself of going down that thought path. “Very true people .. can be variety of things. Good, bad, chaotic.. entertaining. Best part of learning and meeting new people is to see what interests they hold. I am sure more people in station will keep everyone busy.” He laughed a little bit and also at the same time, started paying a bit more attention to her eyes. Granted he always acted in a respectful manner and looked at those who were talking to him, but he wanted to figure out one thing that had been at the back of his mind whether to rule it out or not. Always thinking in a medical manner was sometimes a burden, but it always opened up new questions and ideas. Specifically he was curious as to the directions that she was looking at when she spoke. “Perhaps, to station? I can drink to that.” He slid his drink back closer to himself on the table before picking it up, waiting for her response.

Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)

“Ah, yes. And it is not limited to just those of the human race,” She remarked, her slightly accented voice clearly of Terran origin, which made it easier to identify her as some kind of human. Cheniya offered him a smile, as it didn’t reach her crystalline eyes, perhaps another reason for concern about her persona. As for that gaze, she knew he was watching them, tentative about speaking to her. She was queer, in more ways than one, making her both dangerous and helpful. However, she didn’t let this show freely. “Indeed; to the station.” She picked up her shot of whiskey, raising it slightly, as if roasting to the station, itself.

C. Hobson
Bartender

Yuri nodded at her wording. “Exactly. That is why I mentioned people instead of just humans.” He raised his glass as well before enjoying the scotch that was inside. “Ah… now that is satisfying taste!” He gently sat his cup back down on the table. He was still curious about this person he’s never seen before, though he didn’t quite know how or what to ask. “If you are able to, please, sit. I am no counselor, so don’t worry. Just doctor.” He chuckled lightly at somewhat of an internal medical field joke. He still viewed mental health as important as physical health, though it seems they each gave each other somewhat of a hard time. A friendly rivalry of sorts perhaps between fields? “It sounds as you are from Earth I take? If you mind me asking, which part?”

Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)

“Uhm, I’m sure I could sit for a few minutes.” She chuckled, softly. Nodding, she took a seat across from the man, clasping her hands upon the hard surface of the table. She wore a light, upbeat smile. She was clearly an entertainer, just as she had been throughout her entire life. “I’m from the good ole’ Dominican Republic.” She grinned, “What about you? You seem sure human to me.. but I might be blind.” Using the word ‘seem’ as opposed to ‘look’ was room for questioning.

“You’re intuitions do not betray you, I am indeed human. Russia is country of origin.” He chuckled lightly from her joke, “I had been wondering about that ..”

Elizabeth made her way over to Yuri and her latest bartender. “Well, how are you doing Doc? how is my lovely new Bartender Cheniya treating you tonight?” Elizabeth asked smiling at the two of them. The fiery-haired owner of the bar/lounge was glad to see Yuri returning to her Bar she noticed the shiny new pips, “Congrats Lieutenant.” she smiled.

Elizabeth Notta, Civ.

The woman offered that same grin towards the Lounge Owner, but chose to keep her mouth, shut.

C. Hobson
Bartender

“Ah, Elizabeth! Much appreciated! Though it pales in comparison to your feats!” He looked around the bar as it was his first time back since he stopped by during it’s construction. “Atlantis turned out even better than imagined! It is a work of art.” He extended his hand to point toward the black-haired bartender. “Ms Hobson has been treating me well so far, quite an interesting person.” He finished off the remainder of his scotch. “Though my taste is quite simple, she makes good drink.” He grinned and set the empty glass back down on the table.

Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)

Elizabeth smiled at Yuri then at Ms. Hobson, Good, now in light of your promotion your first three drinks are on the house, make it count.” Elizabeth said with a soft laugh before looking to her bartender and give a nod of her head.

Elizabeth Notta, Civ

Cheniya only gave a smile, still remaining in silence. The reason as to why? Well, that was up to the eye of the beholder. Several reasons could have been the proper one, but it wasn’t as if it were obvious. Crossing her ankles, the black-haired bartender kept herself within a gentle silence.

C. Hobson
Bartender

Yuri’s eyes bounced between the two, curious about the silent interaction between the two, but otherwise made no change in his outward expressions. “Three ..? Perhaps I should make drinks count?” He looked up and thought for a moment before looking back down and raising his hands up at his sides, slightly shrugging. “I have no clue.” He confessed, “What would be good suggestion Elizabeth? I trust in your judgement!” Thought he would accept anything that she would suggest, he knew that anything she’d make would easily be a great drink.

Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)

“You want a mini party I would suggest starting with the tsunami, three different rums that will leave your taste buds dancing.” She smiled with mischief in her eyes. The Tsunami was made with: 1 oz Captain Morgan® Original spiced rum, 1/2 oz Malibu® coconut rum, 1/2 oz Myer’s® dark rum, fill with pineapple juice, grenadine syrup.

Elizabeth Notta, Civ

“Sounds like interesting mix! I would be glad to try it!” It wasn’t everyday that one got promoted, perhaps he should lay back a little bit and celebrate? He usually wasn’t one for social interactions, but this was actually kind of fun so her couldn’t complain. The atmosphere of Atlantis was pretty incredible too and pretty laid back for a place that was getting busier and busier.

Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)

“I will retrieve it for you,” Hobson remarked, quietly raising to her feet. She was aware of the friendship that seemed to be occurring between the owner and the customer, this she found it was only moral that she be the one to retrieve the drink, so that Elizabeth had more time with the CMO. Sighing, softly (in content), she turned from the table and headed to the bar to prepare Yuri his drink.

C. Hobson
Bartender

“Thank you, Hobson.” Elizabeth smiled at the young woman and turned back to Yuri. “Seems your planing to have a good celebration, no one else coming to celebrate withyou?” she asked arching one brow as she moved to sit down where Hobson had once sat.

Elizabeth Notta, Civ

He paused his interaction with Elizabeth to make sure he thanked her properly before she headed away from the table “Thank you, I’m sure it will be great!” He turned back to Elizabeth since the black-haired bartender went to make the drink. “It was more of .. impromptu visit here. I did not have any plans for celebration to be honest.” He relaxed a little bit more since he was with a familiar face. “She seems .. nice? How long has she been here? I try to remember everyone that comes through Medical, but I can not seem to remember her face.” He drank what was left of the drink that he had first, though most of it was melted ice at this point.

Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)

OOC: Ah, missed your input from before, pasting it in and fixing my reply XD

OOC: No prob :P

Elizabeth looked to Hobson, “To be honest she only just arrived, my other girls, I was expecting,” Elizabeth said motioning to the girls using the ribbons to move and dance above the lounge using the circular hula hoops that were secured to the ceiling to work together on some of the dances. “Hobson was actually with them which had been a surprise, I have the background in the works right now so we shall see if she is telling me the truth or not. I am, however, surprised she didn’t stop by Sickbay I told all of my girls, Hobson as well, to stop by there for their physicals before starting work,” Elizabeth frowned.

Elizabeth Notta, Bar/Lounge owner.

OOC: Ahhh I did it again D: Sorry about that James, I’ll paste yours in and modify my reply a bit too!

The doors to the Lounge opened and in walked the Captain. He was in blue jeans and wore a plaid long sleeved shirt over a t-shirt with some kind of logo on it. He looked around at the newly active bar and smiled and nodded a bit. As his gaze fell on the assemblage, he spied Balashov and Notta. He worked his way through the small crowd between him and them, and came up to the table. “A little R&R there, Doc?” he asked with a smile and then looked at Elizabeth. “Heya, Junior.” he said and smiled more warmly.

Yuri liked to give everyone the benefit of the doubt at least once. “Perhaps Atlantis is just too busy at moment? More and more people are coming now every day. As long as she eventually makes it there, is no problem!” He held on to the empty, cool glass letting the ice shift around in it. “She seems straight forward from what I can tell, though I can not get good idea of personality.” He paused for a moment, internally debating on how to phrase his next sentence. “She has nice hair though. You can tell much about person by how their take care of hair. Though I am lacking in category since I shave it off.” He chuckled as he rubbed his head for a second, watching the black-haired woman behind the bar. As the Captain approached and greeted them he stood up “Ah Captain, yes. Somewhat of small celebration. Now that we are off shift, we can have real drink instead of coffee, yes?”

Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)

“Your right, I have a good feeling about her,” Elizabeth started before looking up as the captain approached them. Elizabeth smiled when she saw the captain, “Heya Chief fancy meeting you here, come to see how the new bar/lounge was hopping and bopping?” She grinned up at him, he looked good in jeans and the tee stretched over his torso, most of which was covered by the plaid long-sleeved shirt.

Elizabeth Notta, Bar/Lounge Owner

“Nope.” said Mike as he waved for a round of drinks. “I’m here to buy a round for Star Fleet’s newest Lieutenant and Chief Medical Officer.” and then he looked at Elizabeth and smiled. “I knew the lounge would be good. No flooding reported.” he said with a wink.

Stout, CO

Sherlock came barreling in with a plaquard that he’d had made up for Yuri and his promotion, “Am I late?”
