Being his friend she had dug until she found out exactly what had happened on that mission with him and had wished she’d been there with him to help. While working with Michael she had admired him, respected him. Surviving that crash and doing what he thought was right had only made that respect grow.

“I will always have his back, and I know that he will always have mine unless I deserve an ass kicking then I know he’ll be the first in line to deliver that ass kicking.” She said with a smirk the whole time she had spoken of Captain Stout it was with respect, admiration, and as a friend.

Pikelsimer listened intently as Elizabeth spoke. When she was done, he looked at her for a long couple of moments. Finally, it seemed he made a decision of some kind. He raised his beer and cocked the top towards her slightly and winked. He took a big drink and said “Fair enough. That jives with what else I heard. I guess we have a bona fide Hero looking out for us, eh?” and he chuckled. “I’ve worked for worse, that’s for damn sure.”

Elizabeth smirked, “I really don’t think he would appreciate being praised as a hero, though I think he is one, he will tell you he was only doing what he had to, to save those he could and get them home. Every life lost was not easy and not something he wanted to suffer, but couldn’t prevent it.” She said softly.

“Heavy is the head that wears the crown…” and he lifted his beer. “To those who didn’t make it home.”

“Aye, to those who did not me make it home,” lifting her drink in salute of the toast.

Pikelsimer took a drink and then said “Ok. So now you. How’d you come up with this?” he said, gesturing around at Atlantis.

She smiled, “Now that is not very interesting.” She smiled softly how did she explain that she didn’t come up with it all on her own, she had actually visited the original back when it was on earth and her family had told her stories of Atlantis when it was below the seas of Earth.

“Ya know… every time someone tells me ‘That’s not interesting.’, it turns out to be just the opposite. So? What isn’t so… interesting?” he asked with a crooked grin. While the Police Chief didn’t look the sort to have much going on between the ears, it was obvious there was a lot going on in that location.

“I am half El’Aurian,” Elizabeth said after a moment’s hesitation, though that wasn’t exactly true, she was Atlantean and she did not age at the normal rate of most species. “I’ve actually lived in a time where this bar was talked about often, from the elders where I lived, from when they were younger. I thought I would take the concept and add my own personal twits to it,” Elizabeth said with a smile, “See really not that interesting,” She added though the truth was she had lived on earth at the time that the bar had actually been running back in the late 21st century early 22nd century.
