The Atlantis was coming along nicely the water was flowing, the tanks were holding, and the fish were floating around the decorative seaweed in the circular tanks in the lounge. The lighting was functional the hoops hanging from the ceiling with lace running through it was ready for the girls to entertain and the soft 21st-century rock was playing. At the moment one of her favorites from the band Three doors down - Here without you, was playing at the moment. All that was left were the booths going in and the rest of the Atlantis style decoration that would make you feel as if the sea was alive around you. The young woman cleaning behind the bar that was the only place to find a few patrons seated enjoying a drink or two smiled at the few Engineers sitting down to eat their lunch while they took a break from work. There was only one person at the bar and that was the green Orion that was sitting there. He hadn’t listened when she said that the bar/lounge Atlantis was not yet open to the public. However, Elizabeth resisted the urge to kick his ass and instead poured him one drink from the recipes she had concocted called the Bahama Breeze: 1 oz dark rum, ½ oz apricot brandy, ½ oz banana liqueur, ½ oz coconut rum, ¼ oz grenadine syrup, 2 oz of your choice of juice (try orange, pineapple, or a blend of the two), ½ oz lemon juice, and ¼ oz honey. Pushing her red hair out of her emerald green eyes Elizabeth put the rag away and started back around the bar to work on the decor with the other civilian contractors when the Orion’s hand reached out to grab her and pull her close.
Elizabeth pulled free of his grip before he pulled her into his lap. “hands off, The drink is for sale, not me.” She told him firmly tempted to kick his ass, but even she didn’t think that the water pressure could handle having an Orion thrown into one of the tubes that held the fish tanks.
“That’s not being very nice now is it, I’m a paying customer, shouldn’t you be nicer to me?” He asked with a smirk use to getting what he wants, He was after all an Orion Pirate who followed his own rules he took hold of the Females wrist again enjoying the fire that danced in her eyes. but he knew a Starfleet officer when he caught the scent of one and knew her training wouldn’t allow her to give into that passion to kick his ass.
One of the Engineers reached for his com-badge, =^=Ensign Waters to Security, we have an issue in the Bar/Lounge Atlantis.=^= He said into it realizing the Orion wasn’t paying them any attention, his partner was moving to assist the Owner of the lounge or attempting to.
Elizabeth Notta, Civ, and Orion Pirate
=/\= Star Fleet or civilian? =/\= a gruff voice from the other end of the comms. =/\= Um, Civvie I think. =/\= Waters responded. =/\= On my way .=/\= was the only response that followed.
Less than three minutes passed when the doors opened and a human male walked through the doors. He wasn’t exactly tall, but he was well built and carried himself with an air of confidence that seemed to come from experience, not ego. He looked around the Lounge and saw the Orion at the bar. Walking up he looked at Notta and said “You in charge?”
Piklesimer, Police Chief
Elizabeth paused in glaring at the Orion who was trying to pull her into his lap while she braced her legs apart and away from him to look at the Police Chief. “Despite how it looks yes I’m having a little issue this high handed Orion wont let me go.” she muttered glaring and trying to pull free.
The Orion stopped playing with the young woman he could have easily picked up and put on his lap if he had wanted and looked to the other man. “this is a civilian matter doesn’t involved starfleet so piss off.” The pirate growled standing to his full six feet four inches to glare at the man who interferred not caring that he was starfleet or the police chief.

The man looked at the Orion and said “Well fancy that, Green-bean. I just so happen to be a civilian. And I hit the head on the way here, so my bladder is quite empty. Now, put the young lady down. Before I put you down.” and he took a step closer to the big Orion and glared at him directly in the eye. “And don’t test me, boy. I’ve eaten bigger than you for a snack on my WAY to fight.”
Pikelsimer, Police Chief
The Orion wasn’t afraid of the civilian officer making demands of him while the little woman whom he could tell wanted to let loose her temper was not doing so. He actually started to laugh as he lifts the woman up into one arm. “No why do I get the feeling you wouldn’t do much damage so long as I keep your little civilian close?” the Orion smirked.
Elizabeth was starting to lose her temper. So when the Orion picked her up the way he had it was the last straw. She let out a growl and used the momentum to swing slightly towards him wrapping her legs around his neck and tightened the choke hold on him taking him by surprised. she used that to throw her momentum backward and twist taking the man with her causing him to hit the deck with his back as she managed to flip to the side and land on her feet. “I said hands off!” She growled.

As the Orion hit the floor, Pikelsimer’s hand shot into his jacket and, with the grace and efficiency born or years of practice, drew a disruptor pistol from it’s holster and aimed it directly at the Orion’s face. “Because you are a freakin’ idiot, that’s why.” he said to the prone man on the deck. He looked at Notta, made sure she was ok, and then said “Allow me to introduce myself.” and he reached into his coat with his free hand and brought out a bade and ID, and then looked at the Orion to include him in the conversation, “To you both, I guess. Chief Pikelsimer. I’m the Police Chief for the civilian contingent. ” and he gave a little sarcastic bow to both. “You must be the new Lounge Manager.” he said to Elizabeth, “And you must be…” he said absentmindedly as he waved the disruptor just so the Orion could see it wasn’t set to ‘stun’, “… oh yeah. Your name is ‘Under Arrest’. Up, up, Jumbo. We are gonna leave this nice lady in peace.” and then he stage-whispered to the Orion loudly enough for the whole Lounge to hear “Before she kicks your ass again.”
The Orion got to his feet and Pikelsimer cuffed him. As he put the gun in his prisoner’s lower back and a hand on his shoulder to guide him, Pikelsimer looked back at Notta. “Nice move. Next time don’t wait so long. I’ll be back to take your statement. Don’t run off.”
Pikelsimer, Police Chief
Elizabeth watched the Police chief take over the situation now that she had finally gotten the Orion to let go. “Yeah well I was hoping to end it without knocking him on his ass,” She muttered. “I’m not going anywhere.” She said to the police chief impressed with his attitude about it. the last time she downed a guy who was making trouble she had embarrassed the cops trying to handle the situation. She was an Engineer not Security she wasn’t use to ‘handling’ the situation so decided not to comment on that whole ‘next time don’t wait so long.’ part and went back to cleaning her bar.
Elizabeth Notta, Civ.
A half-hour later, the doors opened and the Police Chief walked in again. He walked up to the bar and took a seat at the far end of the bar, pulling out a PaDD and setting it on the bar in front of him. He nodded to Elizabeth and waited for her to come see him.
Piklesimer, Police Chief
Putting away the glass that Elizabeth had been cleaning she made her way over to the Police Chief, “Ask away.” She said softly knowing he would have questions about the incident in question. To be honest she would be glad once the place was open and full of patrons.
Elizabeth Notta, Civ
Pikelsimer activated the PaDD’s recording agent and said flatly “Chief Micah Pikelsimer. Recording statement for incident nine five zero dash eight. Please state your name for the record, please.”
Pikelsimer, PC
Elizabeth watched as he activated the recording agent and started the recording, “Elizabeth Marie Notta.” She stated for the record.
Elizabeth Notta, Civ
Pikelsimer nodded and said “OK. In your own words, please tell me what happened. Be as specific as you can. At the end, I need you to state whether or not you want to press charges.” and he paused the recording. “Are you? Just so I know how much time I need to spend on this. If you are, great. We’ll get him on assault and public disorderly. If you aren’t, fine. But in that case once you’re done I’m just gonna file this and move on. Up to you, ok?” He then turned the recording back on and motioned for her to go ahead.
Pikelsimer, PC
“Of course I’m pressing charges against that green brute, he manhandled me.” She told Pikelsimer slightly offended that he’d think she’d let that slide so easily. She waited for him to turn the recording back on before speaking again, “I’m not even open yet and the Orion pushed his way into my bar, which I let slide only because you never turn a patron away, however, after having received his Bahama I moved to leave the bar so I could help to finish the decorations for the Atlantis. the Orion grabbed my wrist and attempted to manhandle me into his lap, I asked him to release me and he refused which was when the Ensign Waters made the call for Police to handle the situation.” Elizabeth said taking a breath, “I would very much like to press charges against the Orion.” She said honestly wanting to show that she wouldn’t put up with that.
Elizabeth Notta, Civ
Pikelsimer was looking at the PaDD and taking notes, but he grinned when she had finished. “Chief of Police Micah Pikelsimer speaking. Victim wishes to press charges. Suspect will be booked on one count of Assault, one count of Public Disorderly Conduct, one count of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and one count of Resisting Arrest. Suspect will be detained in the Holding Area of Serenity Station until transported to nearest judicial review facility for arraignment. Signed on this date, 1638 hours.” He turned off the recording and looked at Notta. “Perfect. This, plus his outstanding warrants, should ensure that he doesn’t breathe free air for more than a little bit.” and he slid the PaDD into his pocket. He looked around the Lounge for a second and said “Not really my style of place, but I just worked up a mighty thirst. You open for customers?”
Pikelsimer, PC
“No, but I am open to a friend,” Elizabeth said reaching under the counter for two classes and her well aged Scotch before pouring a decent dose in each cup. “So what made you chose to be a chief of police instead of a security chief?” She asked as she sipped her glass of scotch. She didn’t mind that this theme wasn’t his style. not everyone enjoyed the ocean, but she was the only bar.
Elizabeth Notta, Civ.
Pikelsimer lifted the glass in an acknowledgment and took a sip. “Well, I didn’t. I’m not in Star Fleet anymore… retired. But I was a cop for a while, so the Brass decided that they needed a cop who could work with Fleet types, so… here I am. Drinking your scotch.” he said and took another sip. “Which is quite good, by the way. Thanks.”
Pikelsimer, PC
She smiled as she listened, “I’m former Starfleet as well. I use to be an Engineer under Captain Stout, but I retired after teaching at the academy for the last few years, to be honest. I have a bar/lounge back on Earth as well, being managed by a trusted employee and overseen by a friend/lawyer who I trust with my life so this is my second bar,” Elizabeth explained. The bar back home was called The Road Home, that was so popular that the cops had to come in to close it down sometimes if it got to be too much.
Elizabeth Notta, Civ.
“How’d you end up here?” the older policeman asked.
Pikelsimer, PC
“Captain Stout,” She said as if it were obvious. “He was my Chief when I was in engineering. Ask him to this day he still calls me Junior even though I’m retired,” Elizabeth smiled at the fond memories.
Elizabeth Notta, Civ.
“You’ve known him for a while then, huh? Whats he like? Only met him once so far. But I saw his face all over the place there a while back. Something about a crash?”
Pikelsimer, PC
Elizabeth watched Pikelsimer for a moment thinking, “He’s a good man, fair in his dealings, but if he has to be tough he can be.” She said honestly remembering a few times when she wanted to kick him in the ass for the way he talked to her when something went wrong. “I wasn’t in his life when he had the crash, so I cannot tell you much about it, if you wish to know about it you may half to ask him.” She told the Police chief honestly.
