=^= All senior staff please report to the Briefing Room, =^= NE Sarrs voice echoed through the ship.

Jason had moved from the bridge to the briefing room, and now sat with his PADD in front of him. He wondered who would be the first to arrive out of Saunders, Prinz, T’Pon, K’vexx and Crystal who made up the balk of the senior staff. With the recent resignation of the CE he wasn’t expecting a representitive from them just yet, but hopefully junior Lieutenant House had the common sense to show up as a representitive for the Medical department. Just encase, he hit his comm badge =^= Commander Argan to Lieutenant House please report to the Briefing room. =^=

With that out of the way he leaned back in his chair. Now all he had to do was wait.

“Lt. Cmdr. Bill Saunders reporting for duty.” Saunders said as he entered the briefing room. He made sure his tactical section was in working order. “So what’s going on?

Crystal entered the breading room soon after the call for senior officials were called. Snowflake was close behind her. She looked around the room before taking her place.

“Hey Crystal, how are you? Haven’t seen you or Snowflake in a while. Do you know what’s happening or why we’re here?”

Hot on Crystals heals was Esther, the science officer nodded to the other present officers and took her seat at the table next to Saunders. There was a rumour from her Stella Cartography that the course had been changed suddenly. Now the senior staff had been summoned for a briefing, she had to wonder if there was stock in the rumours that the Dauntless had been called on another mission. “There’s a rumour we’ve had to switch courses. I think we’ve got a new mission.” Esther chipped in, “I hope we’re going somewhere exciting I have a paper to write and need something to write it on. If we discover a new nebula or universe than I’m going to have this competition in the bag.”

“Well if we are going on a new mission, I better make sure tactical is prepared for anything we may come across. How can we go on a mission with out a captain or the XO? We better contact Star Fleet to find out what we should do.”

“Steady your horses there,” Argan spoke up. “That’s what our ranks are for, as 2nd Officer that task falls to me.”

He turned to face the rest of the table, “As for the rest of you, we have indeed switch courses. The formidable Admiral Harrington has informed me that we have a new mission. The U.S.S Apache hasn’t been responding to any hails. Last known contact with the vessal was over a week ago. The ship is currently headed to their last known co-ordinates to see if we can track the ship down.”

“The Captain and the XO already know about this and will rendez-vous with us when they can. We still have some time before we reach the co-ordinates that Admiral Harrington sent, so until then I want to gather as much data about this ship and sector of space as we can.” he handed out a PADD to each officer, containing all the information he had downloaded about the Apache. “I don’t know about you, but I don’t want any surprises.”

“Understood sir, My tactical team will be ready for anything.” Saunders said. Saunders looked at the PADD and said, “What was the Apache exploring? This area of space is so far away.

“ we are bound to have surprises on a mission like this. It could have Ben anything from a borg Attack to a simple equipment malfunction” crystal said looking at the pad. Her teams were always ready for anything. Snowflake sat up and looked around the room before laying back down again.
