Several seconds passed before Lt. Cmdr. Saunders’ personal badge beeped with an additional order:

Have them know we will have to push back our rendezvous date.=^= There was a pause, indicating brief contemplation. =^=Additionally, attempt to open communications with the Bethrisian Counsel.
