“What have you discovered thus far, Major?” Aihia approached Crystal, keeping a close eye on her surroundings. Something felt off about this particular cargobay..it was a feeling she could not quite place.

“ Not much other then the crates that are unmarked” Crystal said shaking her head.

“I see.” She remarked, glancing at one of the nearby security ensigns that had arrived with K’Vexx. “Ensign, may I?” She gestured to his tricorder, thanking him when he passed it to her.

“These crates?” Aihia asked, rhetorically, approaching one of the several unmarked crates. Raising the tricorder, she ran a simple scan over the material. “Something within the crate is blocking scanner readings. A magnetic field, perhaps?” She suggested, although did not expect Crystal to have the answer.

Crystal and snowflake followed the captain. Snowflake had yet to great the captain like he usually did. He was focused on work.

“Major..you should see this.” A young marine stepped between them before Crystal was given enough time to respond. “You as well, Captain.”

” let’s go” crystal said with a smile. She moved to follow the Marine. ” what did you find ” she asked as she and snowflake followed.

The Marine led them through the maze of crates that had been stacked about the cargo bay in a method of haphazard organization. In silence, he bit the inside of his cheek, unsure of how the two might respond to his discovery.

Crystal noticed the strange behavior of the marine.

Around the bend, the Major and Captain would find a gruelling sight. Flush against an ominous crate, an elderly man lay limp, his head hanging unnaturally beneath his shoulders. His neck had been snapped. His collar, the podium for his authority, displayed two golden pips encased by a thin, emerald line. Rear Admiral.

“ no one rich anything secure the cargo bay and keep everyone out.” Crystal said

“Yes, ma’am.” The marine responded, turning to glance about for his comrades. “Pendragon!” He called out to another Marine, gesturing to the doors. They had been awaiting Crystal’s orders since the body’s discovery, several minutes before.

“The Admiral was discovered here. There are no signs of struggle in his general vicinity, but we haven’t had the chance to inspect the body.”

She taped her combage =/\= crystal to sacristy, medical, and jag I request your assistance in cargo bay 4=/\= She said snowflake remained calm next to her. She was silently glad that the cats caler had a chip that monitored his location as all times. Even if he was accused of harming the admiral the caller would show that he was also with crystal.

“Major, get a forensics team down here as well. I want every inch of this cargobay inspected, analysed and recorded.” Aihia remarked, kneeling beside the Admiral. “We have a murderer on board.”

=^=We do not, Commander. Thank you.=^= Aihia returned, finding the bay was already crowded. =^=I will be calling a briefing with all Senior Staff at 1900hrs. Until Mr. Saunders or I return, you have the conn.=^=

“ very well” crystal turned to one of her Marines. I want a copy of all reports from this encrypted and sent to my office. Also start working out a duty rotation for the security of the cargo bay coordinate with security if you like, and someone go find the medical and forensics team and lead them here” crystal growled. A murres on board had put her is a fowl mood.

“Yes, sir.” A marine responded, walking from the scene to reiterate the command to medical and forensics.

Minutes later an elderly Vulcan made her way through the growing crowd, “Move!” She shooed marines and officers out of the way. “Where is the patient?” She demanded.

“ unfortunately he his already gone. He was gone before we found him, and however killed him likely stacked one of my marines we need to find this person quick..” crystal said shaking her head.

“I cannot locate a murderer for you, Major. I can, however, help you determine a C.O.D.” The doctor remarked, waving people from the man’s body. Pulling a tricorder from her medical kit, she ran a quick scan over his system. Shaking her head, she pressed her fingers to his neck. “His body is still warm,” She said. “Scans reveal subtle cellular activity, which indicates he hasn’t been deceased for more than three hours.”

Crystal nodded “ yes but you have given us a place to start and clarified the time line. Thank you Lt” crystal said with a smile.

“Yes sir” Saunders said as he was put in charge of the conn.

Lt. K’Vexx arrived back at the cargo bay with a couple more security officers. “What is the emergency?” he asked, not yet noticing the body of the rear admiral.

“Lieutenant,” Aihia gestured him over. “Do you have a forensics specialist with you?”

“Of course, sir,” K’Vexx answered. Immediately, NE Allen moved from his side to study the scene.

“ Lt you mean better be on point whoever did this will likely attack someone else” Crystal called a warning to the security officer.

Dr. T’Aria, Doctor

The Klingon nodded in response to Major Crystal while advising NE West to secure the perimeter of the crime scene. “Major, I think you are right. If we have a killer on board, it is likely they will strike again, or at least we have to prepare as such.”

“One of my Marine’s was attacked just before the admiral was murdered we need to find them. Captain I digest we put the ship on high alert” she said.
