“Computer!” Aihia burst through the doors of her office, barely awaiting the system’s activation blip. “Notify Commander Saunders and have him report to my office immediately.”

A man was dead aboard her ship, another crazed and on the loose. Ael had known since the moment Lockehart stepped aboard the Dauntless, something was off. Now he was wrapped in a body bag, his lifeless vessel en route for the ship’s morgue. There was no evidence of his attacker, beyond speculation which left them without cause for prosecution. They stood with their hands tied behind their back while a killer ran about Dauntless’ decks, marking targets on the backs of her crew.
