As shuttle rides go, this one was adequate. The Klingon warrior K’Vexx had proven himself to be a valuable member of Starfleet time and time again as he did his best to uphold the tenets of the Federation. He had recently gotten promoted to the rank of lieutenant and was waiting for a posting when he decided to visit his homeworld of Qo’noS. It was not incredibly welcoming. It never was, not this or the first six times he visited. His family looked down on him for his decision to join Starfleet, but he knew it would be in his best interests. A way to protect the peace. As he approached the Dauntless, he looked out the viewport at the Mjolnir-class vessel and it was a stunning site.

Duffel bag in hand, he exited the shuttlebay and made his way directly to the Bridge. No sense in wasting any time. There was work to do.

He entered the Bridge and announced, “Lieutenant K’Vexx, Chief of Security, reporting for duty as ordered.”

“Lieutenant,” Aihia rose to her feet, closing the distance between K’Vexx and herself. Towering over most of the officers on the bridge, Ael was a large woman, but her nature was of no consequence to her size. “Welcome to the USS Dauntless, I am Captain Aihia.” She bowed slightly, gesturing to her readyroom. “Please, join me.”
