Aihia tapped her fingers against the hard surface of her desk, dark eyes staring down at her nails as she did so. It had been sad to see her Excutive Officer leave the ship, but she knew it was the best choice for him, wherever his adventures would take him. It would take a moment to get things back into order, and that meant going as soon as possible. Without an XO or a CE, she needed to fill those roles as soon as possible, so the command did not break in its wake.

She had spent the last several hours going through different officers to see who might be equipped for the job of the Chief Enginner. Of all the officers aboard the ship, only one stood out. And in the end, that seemed to be the best choice.
