After leaving the CEO/XO Heather had returned to a few of the delegate rooms that were still empty to go over the details of the day she repaired the wiring that had been purposefully miswired. She closed her eyes to visualize that day again hoping to see something she had missed before. She was going over the memory of rewiring it watching herself do that as she looked around to see if there was something in the memory she had missed. Like someone walking by, or someone stopping to watch her work. Even the officer that was supposed to come and help her with the chore at hand. She looked for anything in the memory that she could report back to the Chief about.

“How are we looking, Ensign?” Aihia stepped into the room, brushing a strand of stray hair from her face. Glancing about, she studied the interior of the delegate chambers but made no attempt to comment on what was around her. Steel eyes ridden with the intensity of her people, or one half of them, she observed Heather, herself. A faint smile tugged at her lips, but it was hard to tell whether she was trying to hide it from approaching or force it into approaching. Regardless, it rested as a counterbalance to the intensity of her gaze.

“The repairs I made to the delegates chambers remain untouched. But I thought if I returned to the scene of the repairs I could go over my memories and see if I missed anything out of the ordinary that I could report back. Slowly her eyes opened revealing silvery green eyes when the light hit them just right. The silver in her eyes was actually a result of the Nanos in her blood. It was the reason her eyesight was far more superior at night. After all her people lived most of their lives in the night to avoid the sun. “Unfortunately, I have yet to find anything I have missed beforehand, and yet I have this nagging feeling that I am missing something.”

“I see..” The Romulan woman glanced over at her, stepping over until she was able to partially circle her, in thought. “What exactly are you looking to remember, Ensign?” She asked, a tone of simple curiosity filling her voice. She had no intentions to being pressive or cruel towards her, merely a sort of nudge towards what Heather was thinking, an idea of where her mind was heading during this. Aihia noticed the silver dancing in the green of her eyes, but it did not strike much surprise in her, understanding the peculiarities of many of her crewmen. She chose not to ask. “Perhaps you should rest on it. Try to relax, allow things to come to you naturally. When you force them, they very seldom appear.”

Heather thought for a moment, “Honestly I thought I sensed someone stopped and watched me for a minute or two while I was working. But I was too focused on my work to turn and see who it was.” Heather said softly. Thinking about what her Captain said. “Your right, I think I will take a break and see if something comes to me.”

“Maybe your suspicions were given rightly so.” Aihia nodded over to her, offering a faint smile in her direction. “Try and get some rest, Ensign. Drink a cup of something warm, head down to the recreation room, get some sleep, something to ease your mind. Things tend to come to you when you’re relaxed, rather than when you’re stressed. How about come back in a few hours and see if anything changed in your perception of these chambers, all right?”

“Thank you, Captain, that is sound advice and I will definitely take it,” Heather said giving the captain a soft smile as well. She was never one to turn down sound advice either. Logic would dictate that she rest and come back with fresh eyes anyways.

Heather Argeneau, Ens

“I will leave you to do as you must, Ensign.” She gently rested her hand upon Heather’s shoulder, as she passed. “Enjoy your rest,” With a faint smile, she departed the room.
