The Curie exited the wormhole and decelerated to a stop as the aperture closed behind them. They had travelled several hundred lightyears on a only a few minutes, and now found themselves in the backside of the Beta Quadrant. The last time they were here this was Bat’Leth space.

Jessip stood from his command chair and gave out a few orders as he scanned the forward viewscreen at what was around them. “Full stop.”

Turning to Nesman, he ordered the security officer, “Yellow alert. Raise shields.”

Looking at his science officer, he ordered, “Full sensor sweep. I want to know what we are up against. Who knows what we will find over hear.”
