Doing her rounds alone Abbey found it a good time to reflect and unwind, she wouldn’t find any stowaways onboard as that alone would be a deathwish and the Xeno races on board were kept to a minimum so she didn’t suspect a coup. None the less she was still walking the corridors of E deck with the science labs next on her list, she wasn’t told why it was a routine check but she did as all good solder did, follow orders.Walking into the Lab after a short walk along the corridor she looked around to see nothing at odds, in fact, it was empty less for a few animals in cages which were probably either food for some of the Xenos or unwilling test subjects. She had just turned to walk out when she bumped something very much not a door as it was soft and made a small noise.

The orange cat looked up at her and meowed and started rubbing her body on Abbeys legs. Then around the corner came a Vulcan. “Tigger! You had me worried. Do not go off alone like that. You need to stay near me where it is safe.......” He looked up and saw Ensign Wyatt and stood up and cleared his throat. “Hmmm. Madam. How may I be of assistance?”
Ferl’lak
Abbey looked down at her feet as the cat rubbed against her black knee-high boots, looking to the Vulcan opposite her and then back down she knelt down her boots which went past her knee bending their pointed ends pulling away from her inner thigh exploding the blade she kept there before picking the cat and stroking its head, she began walking over to the Vulcan. Looking around to make sure they were alone she passed the cat over and spoke softly, “You can call me Abbey, and your name is?” Abbey had to be careful it was often that the Empire had spies everywhere even amongst non-humans, especially amongst non-humans trying to find traitors but after her interaction with the ships MACO and security chief she needed someone not a Terran.

OOC - Would anyone else like to pick this up?
Two armory officers entered the room followed by a man in a Captain’s uniform, a relatively unassuming man with black hair greying at the temples. Hanging on his waist was a strange-looking axe, it was a well-known weapon to anyone serving on the ship. “Fer’lak, You’re being reassigned, Command was impressed with your designs, I recommended you to head a new weapons R&D Facility on Mars, These men will escort you in a shuttle back to Terra Prime” His tone was the same icy coldness the crew new but with a hint of something else, pride? “Do not fail me” He told the Scientist grimly.
Abbey wondered if the Vulcan had really been re-assigned to a better posting or if he was going to be another missing Xeno, She watched them take Fer’lak which left herself and the ships Captain, not exactly the best place to be.
Within moments the Vulcan was whisked away without protest. Gunnar examined the feline for a moment with slight curiosity. He then turned his attention to the Security Officer. He cocked his head to the side and examined the woman carefully. “Lieutenant Wyatt-St James, daughter of Luke Wyatt” He said with the same monotone calm as always “What brings you to the Science labs”

Having snapped to attention so stay stood there thinking, “The scientist Fer’lak was going to help with designing a new baton type weapon, for me to use but it seems I will be doing it alone now instead, lucky him to have been given such a prestigious opportunity on Mars.” She smiled, “I don’t believe we’ve met sir, though I am sure we both know who each other are.”

“Luck had nothing to do with it” Gunnar said coldly, he could see the gears turning in her head, had he put the Vulcan to his death or was the job real. Good, guessing would keep them on their toes “We haven’t and I would hope you are aware of who I am” His tone was cold yet uncharacteristically soft “I knew your father, we crossed paths when he worked Security back when I…” He paused “Did diplomatic work on Earth”
CO
Abbey scoffed, “Diplomatic work. I know what my father did for a living, let’s not pretend, I’m a woman, not a girl and of course, I know who you are… Sir” She said, oddly the young woman found herself only somewhat Intimated by the man the rest even more weirdly attracted by him. She shook the thought from her mind, she really didn’t need that from distracting her duties.

Gunnar didn’t look phased at her comment, he examined the young woman carefully “I meant what I said, I only knew him after he retired from service, I had business with some of the people he protected” The man turned around and walked to the door but continued talking “You didn’t follow in his footsteps then?” He asked unusally casually for a Terran.
CO
Looking into the back of his head she listened as he spoke, her arms crossed, “I follow my own path” Abbey retorted, the pain of remembering her father and why she was in the Terran Empire a bitter taste in her mouth. She would have to watch out for this man, he seemed to know more about her Father than she expected and then another thought crossed her mind. Would he know what happened to him… what really happened to him?
