Abbey had not been on the ship long, already she was missing the comforts of the ISS Galileo. On the Galileo, she knew who she had to watch out for, who she could manipulate and who she had to avoid but here everything was a new threat waiting to be analyzed and first in her port of call was the chief of security, which happened to be a MACO Major, Abbey’s kind of person.

She had hunted down the Major and was waiting outside her office after having pressed the door chime.
~Ens Abbey Wyatt-St James.

“Come” came Abi’s voice. Abi’s office was dark with only a dim red light shining in each corner. Not much could be made out in the office but was easy to tell it was a a modest size office, with a large table in the back with two chairs in front of it and one chair behind. In this chair sat Abi. Her eyes seemed to shine in the darkness and as did the sparks off her knife she was currently sharping. “You must be one of my new officers” she said coldly.

Just then a fist came towards Abbey as she stepped further into the room.

Mar. Capt Graham (MACO CO)

Recoiling from the fist Abbey could taste the warm metalic falvouring of blood sweel in her mouth, she had seen the punch but had decided to take it on the chin… Literally. She had found out early on the officers who enjoyed seeing and inflicting pain to others were most easily annoyed and unbalanced when someone simply didnt react, though she couldn’t help grin a toothy bloody smile. “Its pleasure to meet you Captain” She said over emphasising and blood splattering ontonthe floor.

Abi chuckled softly but cruelly “Lights” she ordered as the room lit up Abbey would see that they weren’t alone another two women were in the room as well. One was a 6‘9” slab of pure muscle with a closely shaved head and a square face, she had been the one to hit Abbey.

Abi stood up and walked towards Wyatt “Lana. where you holding back?” she asked

the large woman shook her head “No. i hit her like you told me to” she said her voice slow as if every word was hard to speak.

Abi began to circle Wyatt like a predator stalking its prey. She flicked Wyatt’s hair, touched her shoulder and then walked round to face her “Impressive. Not many people can take a hit form Lana and still stand” she said coldly. she then stepped away as she reached the chairs in front of her desk, she snapped her fingers “Sit” she said pointing to one of the chairs.

Having watched the woman Abbey had deduced that she wss asserting her dominance as most females did in her role and it was nothing nee to Abbey, the act was more of a comical show than anything else. Doing as she ssid abbey sat wordlessly.

Once Wyatt sat down the other women came beside her and started scanning her, she was a medic. She had strawberry blonde hair and was athletically built.

Abi sat down behind her desk “I trust you understand the significance of the vessel you are on. So what makes you worth it?” she asked.

Mar. Capt Graham (MACO CO)

Abbey swatted the small ginger medic away with her hand, she didnt need to be looked after, “Perhaps you should ask the Klingon Bird of prey my team infiltrated and siezed, I remember the XO an angry SOB of a Klingon who thought his size and power was enough to defeat me” She flicked her eyes to the woman whi had punched her “The bigger they are the harder they fall, and if that doesnt appease you then because the Empire deems you need a sabotage and demolition expert, so they gave you the best, lucky you. Unless you think the Empire to be wrong?” This wasn’t Abbeys first rodeo.
Ens. Abbey Wyatt

The medic ignored her and continued her work “Listen idiot i’m here to check on you. So stay still and remember i out rank you, in intelligence and rank ” The medic said checking her scans.

“If your citation had come form the empress herself then no. however there are more then enough admirals and captains who promote and exaggerate their officers for self gain. How do i know you didn’t get this citation because the person who gave it you, was you puppet in the bed chamber. It wouldn’t be the first time, female offer have used there natural advantages to get what they want.” Abi said coldly.

“In addition if people think that taking a single bird of prey and killing one Klingon is good enough. They’re wrong.” Abi said sternly, her loyalty was to the empress not the officers that serve her.

“Lana here killed a Klingon general by breaking his back on her knee, carried four wounded marines to safety at once and saved my life. Miranda here” she said pointing at the medic “Has fought by my side for years. Killed just as many as i have, saved hundreds of loyal Terrans and fought on when wounded. There are at least twenty other security and marine officers on board that have achieved similar feats. This whole crew is the the best of the best. So i ask you , why would the taking of one bird of prey and the killing one XO impress me?” Abi asked.

Mar. Capt Graham (MACO CO)

“Something tells me nothing is going to impress you, even if I told you I single-handedly destroyed a whole Klingon fleet. Loyalty and respect go both ways so don’t BS a BS’er.” She scoffed unimpressed also by her boasting of the ship’s crew. “Again if this crew was best of the best I wouldn’t have been sent here in the first place so now, are we going to dispense with the pleasantries and get about our daily routine or do you need your bodyguard here to slug me again,” Abbey said eyeing the woman who had punched her, she wasn’t impressed.

~Ens. Abbey-Wyatt

Lana stepped forward but she stopped when Abi raised her hand “Lana is not my bodyguard. She is something far more important.” she said as she stood up “You see i have a single loyal group to me. they are my right and left hands, they get the best food, best armour and best weapons. I trust them with my life and they do the same. A trust that is beyond anything you could imagine. This group of four women are known as the vixens, loyal to me and no one else. the best of the best and the one that get sent in when the job is tough and needs doing. Each one is blessed by the empress, so insulting them is insulting the empress.” She said as she walked round her office.

“You seem to have missed my point so i will explain it for you. I was asking what makes you worthy. Each one of my vixens has an ability outside of combat. An ability that helps them in every situation, something that is unique to them. That is what i was asking what is your unique ability outside of combat. Are you a genius when it comes to technology, are you a loyal friend who stands by others in any situation or can you speak many languages like nothing, switching form one to the other with ease?” Abi asked she wondered if she had misinterpreted the Ensigns file. She thought she would be a good addition to the vixens but maybe she was wrong.

Mar. Capt Graham (MACO CO)

Abbey finally saw where the Captain was going with her line of question, she never really did understand why people were so cryptic. “Well, if you had just said from the get-go I would have told you that I am second to none when it comes to sabotage and demolitions . Give me a few minutes with anything that has an electromagnetic pulse and I’ll turn it into a bomb. Something you didn’t want there anymore? I’ll get rid of it. Something you don’t want someone to have? I’ll make sure they can never use it again. I can disable something on such a minute level they’ll never know it was me, and because most of that is against Xeno’s I can speak Klingon, Vulcan with ease and have been told I have a very good accent as for Andorian and Tellurite I can understand reading and writing but I’m not too good with the words verbally myself which all in all makes me good at infiltrationlist as well, my small body makes it easy to apply skin graphs to appear to most humanoid races.”

~Ens. Abbey Wyatt

Abi raised her eyebrow “Impressive. So if there was situation where we had acquired a xeno vessel you could bluff your way through any com. That would be very useful.” She said simply. Now Abi had to decide how best to ease the ensign into Abi’s plans for her “So you think you’d be good with infiltration missions. How are you when it ones to working in small teams. Say five or six. Would you be loyal to that team? or cut and run if another office gave you a offer?” She asked

Mar. Capt Graham (MACO CO)

Abbey thought for a moment before answering, “I would be loyal to anyone who had earned my loyalty. My loyalty isn’t brought, my respect isn’t brought by words or money it’s gained by actions and lost by inaction, its gained by the kind of person who would do the same for me in any situation. If you have my loyalty and respect you have someone willing to die for you.” She said her face unmoving but the truth was there to see, she would do what she promised. “And if that’s not enough then send me packing, I’ll go back to my old team where we do have each other back.”

“Do you often snap at your senior officers?” Abi asked but before Abbey could say anything she continued “your outlook is exactly what i want. To many officers have been brought or paid off on ships, with false promises of glory and promotions. That not how i operate i make sure everyone earns their spot.” she added.

She shook her head, not feeling the necessity to reply and besides the MACO hadn’t given her the chance to reply and soon Abbey found herself a little taken aback as the woman in front of her who no to long ago was going to throw her off the ship explaining how she was exactly what she wanted. She was glad to hear it, maybe she would get on with her new comrades, even if maybe their ideals about Xeno’s didn’t quiet align.

“I assume you are aware of the different way this ship is run. I am the MACO CO and the COS. Do you have any issues taking orders from a MACO? and do you think of the security performance of the empires ships?” she asked.

Mar. Capt Graham (MACO CO)

“I am, I dont have any issues with it at all to be honest. I’ve worked side by side with MACO’s before if I could I probably would go back and become one myself… More my forte so to speak but as normal I rushed into officership and become a security officer instead” She shrugged, and quickly answered her next question. “Security is to political, sometimes it stops us from doing our job.” Abbey had always found MACOs could always go that extra mile compared to the security elements on the ship they were held back by the few rules the empire did have and in a way she was jealous which is why she was excited to be on a ship where MACOs made the rules.

Ens. Abbey Wyatt

About this time a chime rang at the MACO’s office door.

Jeremy O’Dell, XO

Abbey’s interest turned from the MACO CO to the door where the chime had sounded, she was curious who would dare interrupt her interrogation.

Ens. Abbey Wyatt

O’Dell waited to be invited to enter the room.

O’Dell

As soon as the door chimed Abi upholstered her phaser and rested it on her lap under the table. As she did this the other two women in the room changed positions Lana ent by the door and Miranda stood of to the side. “Enter and you better have a good excuse” Abi yelled to whoever was at the door.

Mar. Capt Graham (MACO CO)

Jeremy walked into the room and saw the people there.

“I always have a good excuse to visit one of my officers” replied O’Dell.

O’Dell

Abi re holstered her phaser and got up and saluted “Commander. What brings you to MACO country Sir?” She asked respectfully. Abi hid her annoyance she was in the middle of interviewing a new officer and potential Vixen, if the young ensign fitted in well enough. Now she might have too call the whole thing off.

“We are getting ready to start a mission and might have to take the ship into battle, I wanted to make sure your officers were ready” answered Jeremy.

Commander O’Dell, XO

Sitting in the middle of the two officers, her face feeling a little worse for wear she wondered how long she’d have to stay there before being dismissed or shot, she wasn’t honestly sure at this point. It was no wonder why secretly the Terran Empire might be losing its firm grip on the Xeno Races. All the infighting and backstabbing made it easy for them, again however these were thoughts Abbey learned to keep to herself.

Abi smirked “My MACOs are always ready. The security officers are a little lax but they’ll be left in charge of ship security. Except this one” she said pointing to Abbey “She’s coming with me.” She said simply.

Mar. Capt Graham (MACO CO)

‘She’s coming with me’ Well Abbey didn’t expect that, it could be seen as both a bad sign and a good sign, either she was about to be thrown out the airlock or she’d be on trial for her precious vixings either or had cause for her to roll her eyes but she refrained from doing so. She just raised her eyebrows and looked between the two officer wondering if that was cue to go get ready for the away team. She wouldn’t even have time to fix her bruised face.
