Ferl’lak was the Chief Science Officer on board and he at least had that going for him since there wasn’t much else. He would tolerate the humans and gets a piece of mind knowing he’ll not only out live them but their little brats as well. Maybe he could piss on their graves… he almost actually smiled at that. He pressed the chime to let the Captain know that he was here and on time.

Ferl’lak CSO

“Enter” The voice behind the door said. Inside was a simple office, desk with two chairs for guests and a single behind, in which sat a man. He had dark hair that was starting to gray at the temples. His eyes were a dim icy blue and had a cold dead stare. The desk was simple, a computer terminal and a few PaDDs. On the right side was a small display which held an axe, small handheld weapon with beautiful carvings into the wooden handle and the steel itself was decorated as well.

The man looked up at the Vulcan “Lieutenant Fer’lak, welcome onboard” His cold tone of voice betrayed no obvious emotion.

Ferl’lak walked in and stood at attention. He dared not sit or do anything without being told for fear of punishment.

“Thank you Captain. Lieutenant Ferl’lak reporting as ordered sir.” His voice too stone cold but it was because he was a Vulcan and not racist

Gunnar indicated at the chairs on the other side of his desk “Have a seat Lieutenant” the Terran looked down at his console for a moment “I have your record here but I like for my senior officers to tell me their own stories, tell me about you career”

CO

“As you wish sir.” He took a seat and started counting his military record. The high achievements he earned in the Vulcan Science Academy.

Ferl’lak CSO

Bump.

Gunnar nodded “It’s an impressive record, there are few Vulcans that share such a distinguished career, after the Rebellion losses all those years ago and the purges that followed. What is it you hope to achieve as Science Officer?” He asked.

CO

“Yes it is Captain. I am lucky to be where I am now. My reason is to not only make the Empire better but to make myself better at the same time. It is a win win for everyone. Also Captain if I may be so blunt. The more useful I am, the less likely I will be sold or discarded. Maybe even recieving the wooden sword from the Emperor like the gladiators from old and win my freedom.”
