Plipton’s squad stood motionless on the ridge, the smoke of battle and a wave of Klingons drawing ever closer. The MACO’s had their phasers at the ready and where formed up into two precise firing rows- five in front, four in the back. Private Cortis lay sprawled on the floor, blood oozing from his head and soaking steadily into the dirt, with Abi standing over his lifeless corpse. Without anger or urgency, she levelled her phaser at the remaining soldiers.
“Does anyone else think we should break for cover?” She asked her ice cold voice devoid of any describable emotion.
The squad remained silent. To a man they could still hear the shot that had killed Cortis ringing in their ears. It almost drowned out the sound of the oncoming klingons, fast approaching them. Eventually Sargent Pilpton spoke.
“Sir. if we stay here we’ll be cut to shreds by those Xenos” Pilpton said nervously
Abi walked over to stand and Pilpton’s side, then calmly pressed the tip of her phaser to the Sargent’s temple.
“Our orders are to hold this ground. Are you second guessing your company Commander’s orders and tactics?” Abi asked her voice still devoid of all emotion.
Pilpton swallowed “No Sir” he replied, his voice shaky
“Good,” Abi said, lowering her phaser. “Then hold this ground we shall” she barked “For the empress. Open fire” she yelled.

As another punch landed Fel was forced to look at the body of selak, his eyes open and empty. The Vulcan hadn’t talked and he had died slowly and painfully for it. Fel had been tied to a chair, been forced to watch as the MACO in front of him tortured his friend. He could hear Leah whimpering behind her, she to had been forced to watch, she was tried to the wall. However he couldn’t really focus, between the knife in his knee, the knife that had killed Salek, and the broken bones from the beating. he was in agony. The young Andorain had thought joining the rebellion was a good idea. only now did her realise it had been the biggest mistake of his life, now that his time was almost up.

He bale heard her speak “Tel me what i want to know and the pain will stop” she said coldly. She had taken her combat jacket off and was in er under shirt. She had been at ot for hours but she didn’t seem to tire. MACO’s truly were monsters. He didn’t care though he just wanted to make the pain stop and save Leah. It broke his heart but eventually he nodded “Ok i’ll tell you. just spare Leah” he said slowly spitting blood onto the floor.

Over the next half an hour he told her everything, he betrayed everyone. He didn’t know if it was the drugs in his system or just the relief of it being over. But he told her everything. She made notes on everything.

Fel thought that was enough but it wasn’t. The marine walked over to him and pulled the knife out of his knee. Fel screamed in agony, his fingers racked across the arms of the chair he was tied to. She put the knife in his mouth and held up his paper map.

“Now you’re going ti mark you HQ on this map, then your fried is going to confirm it. After then it will be over and i’ll make the pain go away. Understand?” she asked. fel could do nothing but nod and he drew the circle in his own blue blood. He knew Leah would confirm it. He was glad it was over. However his relief was shirt lived. Moments ale he felt to strong arms around his neck. he started to struggle to breath, his eyes blacked . he tried to claw at his seat but he couldn’t then with a loud crack Fel’s world went black and his hand fell limp and lifeless. Fel and his char fell backwards and crashed to the floor.

Leah was horrified she turned to her fellow human, no this person, this monster couldn’t be human. She knew it as over but she would be defiant til the end. “To hell with the empire, screw you I’m not telling you anything. He told you the truth and you killed him. Screw you” she yelled. The last thing Leah saw was the end of a phaser and a flash, the last words she heard where “Don’t worry i believe him.”

Abi looked around the room and smirked sadistically “That was fun.”she said to herself as she casually stepped over the dead and put her jacket back on grabbing her oadd,making a copy and retrieving her listening device. “Thank you for your cooperation” she said sarcastically as he left the room, ready to meet with her superiors.
