Athinias wasn’t particularly interested in meeting the rest of the crew. Getting here was hard enough. He’d do his job. That’s all he cared about. So he did his first walks of Sickbay, making sure he knew everything about it. How many beds there were, where everything was. He didn’t stop to talk to the staff. He would do that later. He walked slowly through each room. He wanted to be able to walk through and find what he needed with his eyes shut in his sleep. There were the emergency med kids. Hypo materials, medications. Medical equipment.

Then he set his office up. It didn’t take long, Athinias didn’t care to make it homey or anything. There was a desk, neat and organized, one chair on one side of the desk, and two on the other. There was nothing on the walls. They were left bare and white. There were no decorations. If he managed to stay here longer than a few months perhaps he’d add some more personal touches but for now, this would do the job. It looked neat and clean and he was happy with that.

He read over the personnel status of the Medical department, reading the numbers. How many nurses, doctors, medics there were in the department. How long they’d been there on average. It was all important information to him. He must have been more tired than he thought though, because soon he was snoozing right there in his chair, leaned back, his feet stretched out under the desk.

The Door wooshed open and In came a Tellarite Officer though he did not walk in more like tumbled in a Foot at first sticking through the door hinted that he must have been kicked into the room what followed was the owner of that foot an Andorian Woman She stood about 5’ 8” and was rather muscular her white hair was pulled into a tight Bun held in place by Chopsticks “Doctor Where are you This Fifl Needs to be tended too!” the Muscular Andorian growled given the pips on her collar she must be the XO and Chief engineer “The Idiot forgot to power down the Section he was working on and burned himself!” she snapped
