It turned out, Nathan didn’t need to find them a job. The Syndicate contacted Noril first. That same day, that Noril had cried in Vash’s arms, Noril received a message.

He was to find one Mevoullu, an Orion member of the Syndicate, who needed to be reminded what happened when one didn’t pay their dues. It wasn’t the sort of job Noril enjoyed, but her last known location was in the right direction to bring them closer to the Wolverine. So he was happy about that.

He entered the bridge, “Nathan, we’ve got a job. Syndicate. Somebody’s not paying their dues.” He sighed, he didn’t seem like himself, but he had to do what he needed to. “Last known location, Elowei.”

Elowei was a Federation colony, not a huge one, but not tiny, either, with an early 21st century feel. Because it was Federation, the Syndicate did not have a strong presence there. Which made it the perfect place for a target to hide out.

“Oneshe, man tactical. Eli, piloting.” He said. “Nathan, keep bridge command while I search our target. Vash…” He smiled at her, “Want to help me?”
