Her head tipped to the side. “You think they aren’t watching?” She lifted a delicate shoulder as if it didn’t matter. “If they aren’t, maybe you should ditch this ship.” She nodded vigorously about the food. She wanted to with him, but decided not to push her luck.Vashkilu, Infiltrator
Noril entered with an apologetic look. “Of course we were. Listening to your minds.” He commented. “There was a small emergency to deal with. How are you doing?” He asked Vash, smiling.

Did her face light up? Maybe, but she was so composed it was hard to tell. “I am much better. Elias has taken good care of me.” Her voice was not like before. There was that ethereal quality but lacked the musical tone. It was raspy and tired. She had so many questions and she fought the urge to reach out and touch him so she could share her empathy with him.
Vashkilu, Infiltrator
Eli looked at him then her, she was obviously happy to see him. “I was just getting her something to eat” he said, “You hungry?” he asked Noril moving towards the door, he swiftly picked up his flask and put it in his pocket.
Elias “Eli” Trenor
Medic“Yeah.” He gave him directions to their food storage. The crew cooked for themselves, there was no replicator. “And drop. The flask.” He said, turning to look at Eli.
~ N, Captain
Vash grinned and got this irresistibly mischievous look on her face. “He’s afraid I’ll steal it again. He’s making sure to keep it away from me.”
Vashkilu, Infiltrator
Noril gave her a playfully dirty look. “You’re too young to drink.”
~ N, Captain
By the time looked back Eli was gone, flask sitting on the counter. He moved around the galley and got some more ration pie going, and some shakes for them all.
Elias “Eli” Trenor
MedicVash rolled her eyes. “I am not.” She wasn’t either. She’d been allowed to drink from the time she was old enough to choose what she wanted to drink. She didn’t like it though. Her Deltan tutor had advised her against indulging, given the effect it had on her. Vash had already come to that conclusion for herself.
Vashkilu could be coy when the situation called for it, but she had too many questions. The twins had made it quite clear they didn’t see her as a slave nor did they want her acting like one. They were strange, but she liked them - a lot. “Elias said you brought him here for me,” she nodded toward the door he had disappeared through. “The last thing I remember is over a week ago. Will you tell me what happened?”
Vashkilu, Infiltrator
“We didn’t have a medic on board. You were sick, Vash. You didn’t look good.” Noril said gently. “You didn’t do much besides rest in your room. We were on our way to a doctor but we honestly weren’t sure you’d make it to one.”
~ N, Captain
She stared at him like he didn’t make sense. “I don’t remember leaving my father’s house.” Why would they take her if she was sick. She was of no value incapacitated and damaged like that. Her father would have offered someone else in her place.
“I owe you all my life, then.”
Vashkilu, Infiltrator
“We left with you early. That doctor…” A flash of anger crossed his face. “You’re going to get better care from here on out.”
~ N, Captain
She couldn’t fathom why he was angry, but it was palpable. “Elias is quite talented. I have never healed so well. I will repay the debt. Thank you,” she bowed her head for a long moment before looking at him.
The last time she saw him, he was quite strongly affected by her. He almost came to blows with Sisnil. “I deeply regret what happened. Are you alright now?”
Vashkilu, Infiltrator
Noril nodded. “We were able to acquire medication to prevent your pheromones from affecting us. Now that you’re healed, I understand you have some ability to control that?”
~ N, Captain
Something else she would have to pay back. The debt was piling up. “Yes. It is a rare ability among Orions, and highly prized. I do not have the gene, but my Deltan heritage allows me to control it anyway.” She sat up, her spine a metal rod. “It won’t happen again. I gave you my word, and I give it again. I will not influence you or your crew unless you ask.”
Vashkilu, Infiltrator
Noril smiled and patted her shoulder. “It’s fine, Vash. And stop trying to count your debt. We’re not collecting.”
~ N, Captain
There was a deeper buzz of connection at the contact. It was still a very new thing, and she noticed it right away. “I must count my debt. Otherwise I can never buy my freedom.” She was very matter-of-fact about it. There was also a core of determination and stubborness there too.
“Is everything alright? You said there was a problem.”
Vashkilu, Infiltrator
Noril shook his head. “Not to us. We’re trying to help you buy your freedom, not add to your debt.” He kept his hand on her shoulder. He liked their connection. “Everything’s fine. Sisnil’s got it handled.”
~ N, Captain
“I understand, but the Syndicate will account for every slip I have cost you. If they feel I have not paid it back through latinum or work, they will not allow me to buy my freedom.”
Vash liked the connection, too. She set her hand over his. “I am sure there isn’t anything the two of you can’t handle.” She looked up at him, “Do you think you can get Elias to let me out of here?” The problem was he could see and feel her exhaustion. She was acting like she didn’t feel it, but she did.
Vashkilu, Infiltrator
Eli walked back in not really saying much, he set down the tray infront of Vash along with the shake. He handed Noril a tray as well. “Eat please” he said checked the readings for a moment and then walked back out of the infirmy to go eat his own meal.
Elias “Eli” Trenor
MedicVash nodded and gifted him a dazzling smile. “I will. Thank you.” He was oddly quiet and reserved now compared to earlier. She could only surmise that it was because of Noril. She watched him leave with a worried expression.
“You need to rest,” Noril said gently. “I can feel how exhausted you still are.” Noril seemed surprised Eli had brought him a tray as well, but thankful. “Thanks.”
Vash pouted. And it was truly irresistible. On purpose. She wasn’t using her special skills, but her training. “I have been, for over a week. Please?”
He turned back to her, “He’s doing his job well.”
~ N, Captain
Eli looked over his shoulder as he exited. “Thank me after you tasted it” he said with a low chuckle. He worked his way back to the galley to get his food and decided to eat there.
Elias “Eli” Trenor
MedicWell she wasn’t going to convince him that way. Of course even if she convinced Noril and Sisnil. Elias would never agree. He’d probably fight… Oh. She stared out the door where he disappeared. “He might be … planning ways to hurt you. He thinks you kidnapped me and are the ones who hurt me. He’s also not too happy that I belong to you. I tried to explain, but he’s very upset over it.”
Vashkilu, Infiltrator
Noril paused, forkful of food halfway between the plate and his mouth. He set the fork back down and suddenly seemed to be concentrating hard. He was alerting Sisnil, and together the brothers were searching Eli’s mind for any such plans to hurt them.
~ N, Captain
Eli was not currently thinking about the twins or vash for that matter, he was thinking about his past, mainly is sister and the booze that was now softening the pain. There was a distrust of the twins and thier motives around vash but no plans to cause harm at the moment.
Elias “Eli” Trenor
MedicNoril seemed to relax some and tried the food. It was a bland, goopy, ration pie. If either of them were watching him eat, they’d recognize the way he dutifully swallowed each bite the way someone who’d gone hungry would. After all, if you could choke it down, at least your belly wasn’t empty.
~ N, Captain
It didn’t taste as good as it did yesterday. She was hungry, but she wasn’t starving anymore. She didn’t turn her nose up at it because she knew Elias had worked to make something palatable. But it certainly offended her delicate senses of smell and taste, and even the texture. “As soon as you let me out of here I’ll start my work in the kitchen. I promise I’ll earn my value.”
Vashkilu, Infiltrator
“Vash, we wouldn’t care if you never cooked another day in your life.” Noril said. “Just focus on recovering.”
