It had taken a bit, but Aaron was finally able to find the quarters that the Quartermaster had assigned to him. That was definitely one of the pluses of being assigned to a Starbase, much larger quarters then you’d ever get on a ship. But now it was time to get the necessities out of the way.

Stepping into the infirmary Aaron looked around for a bit. “Excuse me,” he said stopping a medical officer, “I’m looking for Doctor Odraavi. Would you be able to point her out for me?”

LtCmdr Foley - XO

The medical officer, an older man ,whose once raven black hair was tinged with the sparse flecks of grey indicating debatable wisdom, appeared to study his surroundings for several moments. Upon realizing that he hadn’t spoken, he sucked his breath in quickly, producing an> “Oh!” sound. “Of course, sir. She is right over there, just beyond where the Tellarite patient is being treated,” He motioned to a diminutive woman, almost hidden by her doctors, nurses and patients.

Aaron shuddered briefly at the mention of Tellarites. He had spent many hours working with them, and there was no question that they could do the work, they just never let you forget about it. It was one of those things where he would prefer to work with just about anyone else besides a Tellarite.

“Thank you,” Aaron said as he walked over towards where the medical staff had gathered, near the Tellarite. Maybe he could just wait and see what was going on.

LtCmdr Foley - XO

The Tellarite was being stubborn, making it difficult for doctors to assist him with the growing infection that’s appeared to be impacting his left arm. The worst of the struggle was over, as a nurse held the man back, allowing for the doctor to finally hit him with a hypospray. It wasn’t not uncommon to find such resistance among those who portrayed.. far more barbaric qualities.

Once it was over, Nisihe turned her obsidian gaze from the Tellarite man, having wished him well and better health, for the future. Noticing the officer, she found she did not recognize his face and moved towards him. “Hello, sir. What can I do for you, today?”

“Doctor Ordraavi I presume? I’m Commander Foley, the new XO. The Captain was busy and suggested I stop in to see you first while she finishes up some business. So well, here I am.” Aaron said as he moved towards the Doctor.

LtCmdr Foley - XO

“Yes, I am Doctor Nisihe Odraavi. It is nice to meet you,” She offered him a hand to shake, turning her chin up in order to meet the man’s gaze. “Of course, I’m assuming you need your physical? Do have a seat.” She motioned towards the biobed.

“It is nice to meet you as well Doctor,” Aaron said taking her hand. “And you are correct. Figured I’d get it out the way, and get to meet some of the crew at the same time.” Hoping up on the biobed Aaron turned back towards Odraavi. “So Doc, do you think I’ll live?”

LtCmdr Foley - XO

“I don’t know. You XOs seldom last long,” She winked in order to inform him of her completely facetious and joking nature. Glancing at the biobed’s vitals display, she turned in order to pull up his file and grab a medical tricorder.

Upon pulling up his file, and writing down what the vitals happened to reveal, she turned back to him, holding the small scanning device within her hand. Smiling, she asked> “Do you have any previous injury or illness that has been noted on the last six months?”

Aaron chuckled, “Well hopefully I can break that curse.

“Nothing that I’m aware of. We were on a deep space mission, but it was observing spacial anomalies. We didn’t have contact with any new species recently.”

LtCmdr Foley - XO

“Well, that Certainly makes this a whole lot easier.” She chuckled, beginning the scan. It was a rather monotonous procedure, so she decided to keep conversation. “If you don’t mind me asking, how did that mission go?”

“That it does. Nothing wrong with a nice first contact every now and then, but I’ve always been partial to the anomalies. It’s what I spent my time studying back at the Academy. We actually discovered a relatively newly formed neutron star, so getting to actually study the near aftermath of a star going supernova was spectacular. It’s not often that you get that close to a star that had just gone supernova.

“Have you been here long Doctor?”
