Is something wrong?” Nisihe dared to ask. Despite being a telepath, she didn’t exactly actively respond to the change in emotion or aura of a room, or even notice it, at times.

DocTeek looked back at the woman and even blushed. “I am sorry. I didn’t realize… Yes, everything is all right. I just like keeping an eye on things.” She glanced once more at Mord and then merely kept him at the corner of her vision. “So… I would say to maintain our ‘stigma’ and reputations, we should make a pact.” The woman laughed and leaned over slightly, looking around as if about to divulge some great secret. To anyone looking on, it looked like a conspiracy in the making. In barely a whisper loud enough for the Doc to hear, Teek smiled and said, “I promise to make you breakfast once every few days and give you a chance to vent. And in return, I’ll be honest when you ask for my opinion or feelings. How’s that for bucking the status quo?” She laughed and sat back wriggling her eyebrows like it was the greatest thing in the world.

ManagerOdraavi liked this woman. She found it almost sad she hadn’t bothered to come down, prior. Teek seemed like a unique character, but perhaps it was that Orion charisma. After all, Orion, even partially so, women tended to be rather intriguing people. “A pact.. go on..” Odraavi leaned forwards, clasping her hands upon the table, her eyes assuming a nature as though she had been tuning in to the most important discussion of her entire life.. the making of this ‘pact.’ “So long as you keep our pact a secret, I don’t see why not.” She smirked, a rare sight, before her nature returned to an amicable laugh.
Mord made a few more notes in his book before smiling an awkward and broken smile at the few people who looked his way. He tried to not draw attention to himself but then again he stuck out like a space trader with something to hide. “I should just do this and go. I don’t quite fit in, do I?” he muttered to himself but then ordered a drink to start sipping. Something fizzy. All he needed to do was the thing he was paid to do and he could leave.

“That man seems almost lonely,” Odraavi remarked, her gaze snaking towards the man who had assumed a position behind that table of his. “Is he one of your regulars?”

CMOTeek smiled and waved it off. “No worries, just a longer. Occasionally they come in here. I guess I just tend to notice them more than those in pairs or groups.” She wasn’t sure why she was lying, but something told her it wasn’t that important.
Moving back to the subject the Doc had spoken of, she smiled. “On Earth I owned a small shop. Nothing fancy, but it made me happy. But now my family is all gone. I thought it would be nice to have an adventure. So when someone recommended a shop on a station, I thought it would be a nice idea.” She laughed and waved her arms. “All this is much more than I ever imagined. But the owner, and previous manager, was a good friend of mine. He invited me here to help out. Unfortunately he was killed by the aliens in the last invasion. The Captain said he was going to leave me the club when he retired, anyway. So the Captain saw to it I got it when he passed. I still prefer ‘manager’ because ‘owner’ makes it a bit too real. If that makes any sense.” She shook her head to wave it off and took another drink.

“Of course! That makes perfect sense,” Odraavi assured, inclining her head. “I am sorry to Hearn of your family and of your friend, it is always a shame or lose someone so dear to your heart.” She didn’t dwell on the subject for much longer, for she did not wish to elicit an onslaught of any negative emotions. Being a Doctor, it was never her intention to cause harm or otherwise displeasure. “How long have you been working here? I mean, I’ve seen you around, but I haven’t exactly been able to put a timeline to you.” There was a convivial nature to her words, as she took a few sips of her drink, crossing her ankles beneath the table.
